“I loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

We booked via email with our Smart voucher which entitled us to 2 cocktails and breakfast which was all confirmed on arrival, The hotel is very different but I loved it, made a change from the neutral surroundings of other hotels, we stayed in the Pin-up Parlour, great view of the square and the sea. Lots to see on the walls and the best wallpaper I have ever come across!! good choice of breakfast and very tasty full English, cocktails also were really nice and the staff were able to recomend. Very friendly and welcoming staff all willing to help with what ever you need. Good knowledge of the area, attractions and restuarants. The hotel is 2 minutes away from the quieter part of the beach which we preferred, there's beach front restuarants, snack bars, kids entertainment all the way up to the pier. This was our first visit to Brighton and having such a good experience with awesome weather will definately be back again to Pelirocco!!

We booked a one night stay at the Hotel Pelirocco and it was a late booking, we read the other reviews and though we would give it a go. This great little hotel has a lift, I didnt realise until after I walked 5 flights of stairs to the top floor carrying my girlfriends very heavy bag (a one night stay with a bag that can fit an elephant). A great hotel that really sets the scene for a fun time in Brighton. The breakfast is recommended too!

Highly recommend the Pelirocco. Popped down last minute for an overnight stay having heard good things about the place.

Location is great, just off the seafront, so views without the noise.

Decor is fantastic, welcome was warm, room ("Dolly bird/ rocker/mixture/ or something like that") spacious light and airy with a balcony and sea views was great, big comfy bed, slept like a king.

Good to have the bar, which although not busy on the night I was there (midweek, early doors) was great to meet a friend and have a sundowner before heading out.

Breakfast was great, eggs benedict - spot on! Even though I scraped down at 10.01 after a leisurely start and breakfast finishes at 10!

12 o' clock check out is a nice touch, later than many and gives you a relaxed and unhurried start to the day.

Highly recommend the Pelirocco and will be back. Really warm and inviting place that makes you feel at home away from home.

Many thanks guys, I had a lovely stay,

Rob

My partner and I stayed here tue/wed/thur as part of a week in the South of England. We were able to walk from the train station in 15 minutes and were pleased to see how close to the sea front it was, as well as the close proximity to everything that Brighton/Hove has to offer.
We were very early for check-in but were able to leave our bags and head out to explore. Check in is at 2 and when we arrived back at 3 we got a warm welcome from Amy at reception, who was never without a smile throughout our stay. We were shown to the Pin-up Parlour (after our sending our luggage up in the tiny lift!) which is on the second floor, reached by the main staircase. The walls are covered in quirky, contemporary pictures and images and the paint is pink and purple giving it a shabby chic, cosy feel.
The room itself is dedicated to the late British actress and pin-up, Diana Dors, and is a fabulous, ludicrously OTT shine to this late blonde bombshell. The walls have glitter paint, the bed is spred with satin pillows, the furniture is faux-vintage and there is an overstuffed chaise lounge in the bay window with a lovely view of Regent's Square and the sea. It is a large, bright room and there's plenty of room to move around, but the bathroom is very small and cramped with only room for a shower, toilet and small sink. We found the bed to be soft and comfortable and the room was quiet at night - there was none of the noise from the bar mentioned in other rooms.
We didn't have breakfast, but we did have some lovely cocktails from the bar and enjoyed speaking to Amy who was full of help and recommendations for enjoying Brighton to the full. The hotel in general has a wonderfully personal atmosphere which sets it apart from any other place I have ever stayed. After a year of staying in chain hotels for work this was a lovely refreshing change. It is a bit rough around the edges in places and some of the decor could do with some refreshing, but this doesn't detract from the experience. If anything it made me feel more relaxed and at home rather than in a starched, sterile environment where you're only known as a booking number.
We loved Brighton and will definitely be back, and when we do we will be looking up the Pelirocco to stay again.

What a lovely weekend we had in Brighton! It was made that extra bit special by staying in this hotel. All the staff were very friendly, the bar area was great fun (also got to watch a bit of the Murry match) and cocktails delicious. Our room was fantastic. Lots of fun and a great way to spend a weekend. We will be back!

Initially I booked the playsuite for me and the other half to have a night away from the kids! But ended up booking another 3 rooms and the bar to celebrate my 40th. The whole place totally rocks! The rooms are fab and totally unique, (the playsuite is worth every penny as it is sexy, private and the bathroom is HUGE), the staff are really great and very laid back - especially as our party kind of took over the hotel bar to the wee small hours! (the cocktails and shots are delicious)
Cant wait to go back again...
