“Haven on a cold snowy night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

We stayed overnight to avoid a difficult journey home in the snow. As soon as we entered from a cold wet evening we were made very welcome by warm friendly staff. The stylish Diana Dors room was a visual delight and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, all locally sourced The lounge/breakfast room is snazzy

We fancied something a little different, a night away from the norm and was bowled over by the quirky character of Hotel Pelirocco. The balcony rooms are fun - stayed in Bettys Boudoir and the Stoli Salon. What I liked is the intimacy of the hotel. Not crammed full, it felt like a chic home with lots going on but at the same time stylish.

On a wekend break to Brighton we decided to give this hotel a try and it was great, very near the shops and restaurants of Brighton. The service was Fab and I would love to stay here again. We had lovely rooms which were of the highest order, they obviously take a lot of pride in this hotel.

Just spent the night in the playroom - the staff were lovely - especially the girl who welcomed us Friday night (11th Jan )
We are locals, spending a night away from the kids - so knew Pelirocco's reputation and wanted to see if it lived upto the hype.
In short it does... and the aforementioned girl, makes the best espresso martini ever ! But we got a discount deal on the room, and although we can afford to, we would never pay the rack rate for the playroom having spent the night there.
Nothing "wrong" per se, but its a bit tired, the doorway to the outside space is damp and it can be pretty noisy .. I was woken at 7 by passers by ..Not good on a night away...
The bathroom was cold ..and clinical ..It needs repainting and it needs curtains at the very least .

I did not want to spend time in there - despite the gorgeous huge tub.

The bed is very comfy - good mattress, the T.V.s and furnishings are all fine .. and it is well worth it at the price we paid (£150) but no way on earth is it worth the usual £350 rack rate ... The Jade suite at the MyHotel is cheaper and is just utterly luxurious and beautifully serviced...
The breakfast, delivered to our room was brilliantly cooked - best I've had in ages -

Staff lovely ... But this place is just not 4 * ... Needs an update imho.... we will only be back if its at a discounted rate :)

We stayed in the playroom for our wedding anniversary as a middle aged couple for a bit of fun, I was worried before we arrived that it would be a bit 'sleazy' but we were both pleasantly surprised. Of course this is not a family room but it is all done in the 'best possible taste'. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and would have no hesitation to stay again or to recommend it to other couples. Room was very clean and well thought out, breakfast was superb and staff were great. We enjoyed a walk along the front as well as a visit to see Starlight Express at the Brighton Centre.

Room Tip: Playroom worth the extra for that 'special' weekend away to spice up any marriage!

Hotel Pelirocco is a fantastic choice for a unique stay while in Brighton

Close to the ocean & Brighton Pier, it's also w/in walking distance to The Lanes (shopping / music venues)

The neighborhood is quiet and hopping at the same time. Lots of people out & about & the downstairs bar was packed but up in my room, it was nice & quiet

I scored the Pressure Sounds room w/ its Reggae theme. Turns out the phone in the room just so happened to be exact phone Sis had while we were growing up....awww, nostalgia!

Bed was on a springy frame which made it almost like staying at camp - but it was comfy nonetheless. Wicker chair in the corner, gaming console w/ the tv & great smelly bath products

Staff is super-friendly & the downstairs bar is cozy-cool. Would def stay here again!

I stayed at the fun, cool Pelirocco on an overnight trip with my cousin.
We stayed in the only twin room, "skint". The photos of this room don't do it justice. It is spacious, clean and has funky artwork. Loved the little touches like the curly wurly waiting with the tea and coffee.
The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We were given maps of the town and a very good restaurant recommendation.
Cocktails at the bar were lovely and the atmosphere was great and friendly.
Breakfast was divine. Lovely fresh fruit and a great menu including such delights as eggs benedict...perfectly cooked.
If looking for fault the only small thing would be that there was no hair dryer. When I go again I will simply take my own :)
