“Lovely hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2008

We spend Easter at the twenty one.
From the moment we arrived we felt extremely welcomed. The owners (Matt and Andy) were just wonderful and did everything to make us feel at home.
The room vas very clean and cosy with a lot of free goodies. There was even a big Easter egg for us.
The breakfast was very good with something for everybody’s taste.
The hotel is located perfectly. Very near the waterfront and in easy walking distance from Centrum.
We have stayed in a lot off big hotel chains but this hotel beats them all with regards to hospitality and comfort.
In closing this hotel is a gem. Big thanks to the owners for making our stay just perfect and we will most certainly return.

We go to Brighton for a short break most years and always stay at different places. After staying at Twenty One we will stop looking for different places to stay and will return there.

There really is no more to add to the other comments. It is spotlessly clean, the breakfasts are superb, the little extras in the room such as kit kats, peanuts and sesame bars are a lovely touch. It's position in a quiet street a few minutes walk from the centre couldn't be better.

It was my birthday when we were in Brighton and I was very surprised to find a bottle of champagne in the fridge and a box of chocolates and a card on the bed when we got back from a day in town.

Matt & Andy are excellent hosts. They are attentive to your needs, offer excellent advice (they suggested both restaurants we went to for dinner, and both were very good) and are genuinely interested in where you've been and what you've seen during the day.

We will definitly be going back.

My partner and I recently stayed at The Twenty One for a long weekend away. It was a fantastic experience and I would whole heartedly recommend this guest house to anybody. We certainly will be staying there again the next time we visit Brighton - it was a real find.

The facilities were great (lovely room, very central location, handy for town and the front) and the service was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Matt and Andy, the proprieters, are very chatty and nice guys. They cook a mean breakfast (with a good selection of options), keep the place very clean and tidy and have a great set of recommendations for places to eat and things to do. I particularly enjoyed all the little "extras" they provide - the selection of sweets and snacks in the room, the bottled water in the fridge in the room, the idea of a DVD library available to loan. I can't recommend it highly enough. Thanks very much guys.

Thanks Matt & Andy.

Great hosts and a real pleasure to stay at the twenty one. I was in Brighton taking part in a conference and these guys made it very easy to feel relaxed and like I was on holiday with family who tagged along!!!

Every detail had been thought of. Starting the day after sleeping in the comfy bed and using the brand new en-suite bathroom facilities, I strolled down to breakfast to be greeted by smiles and what I can only describe as a feast. From full english/smoked salmon bagel breakfast to croissant, choice of juices, cereals, toast and great cafetiere coffee. Excellent!

We came home to rest watching the new flat panel TV with a cold glass of water from the fridge (Yep, the room even had a decent size fridge!) and an excellent array of snacks!

Will I come back to Brighton? Yes, definately.

Where will I stay? There is only one option!!!

The Twenty One.

I've got to agree with all the other reviews. I just got back from a 2 night stay with my two teenage daughters - girls break - and we loved the hotel! We were at the tippee top, rooms 7 & 8. (Matt warned me about no lift when I booked). The lobby door could be shut and the inner doors left open so it felt like a suite and was perfect for us. The whole place was immaculate. The breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere in the breakfast room a lot of fun.

Matt and Andy truely know how to provide hospitality. From our intital welcome through to our departure cab they couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant.

I can’t offer any other new insights from the other very enthusiastic and positive reviews except to suggest that travelers take advantage of this superb bed and breakfast while they can. I believe that it will only become more difficult to book a room here as the word continues to spread about what a great find it is! Andy and Matt are a wonderful team and have already in these past couple of years created a feeling of tremendous loyalty from their guests.

Just back from a Easter weekend in Brighton with my boyfriend. We had never been before so all of Matt and Andy's recommedations were really appreciated and turned out to be spot on! The Twenty One itself is just perfect! Our room was spotless and really nicely decorated. Matt and Andy's attention to detail is very evident and we really appreciated the huge Easter egg that was left in our room and the endless supply of kit kats and cream eggs! Breakfast was also really good - cooked to order, with a great atmosphere in the breakfast room. I have never written a review before but the Twenty One is great! We look forward to going back soon, it was a great introduction to Brighton!
