“Fantastic service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

Perfectly located right in the middle of everything. The beach is across the road and all the shops and things are around the corner, a short walk from the pier. The staff are all friendly and very accommodating. Would deffo reccommend!

We visited the Granville hotel for 1 night during the Bank holiday weekend in late May. We decided very late on this trip so literally got the last room in the hotel which of course meant it was probably the smallest one in the hotel. It was still very cozy, nicely decorated and with nice atmosphere. Bathroom was good too. Couldn't fault the cleanliness or anything else! Staff was friendly and helpful. We were also very happy with the food. The only downside was that the bed was very squeeky so that let us know but as soon as we told reception about it, it seemed they sent someone to fix it (too bad we weren;'t staying there for another night :) Breakfast was lovely -menu was varied and had a lot of choice (more than in many London restaurants where breakfast is served), we also had a lunch in their restaurant which was also very good! Can't really ask for a better location, it is right on the sea front (it must be amazing if you manage to get one of the rooms with sea view :) Overall, if I go back to Brighton, that would be the first place i would check for availability :)

Room Tip: Preston room was quite small

This is a lovely hotel - each of the rooms is decorated differently. I stayed in the Sussex Room, on the first floor right by the stairs but this was not a problem for me. The room was tidy, clean and spacious if a little tired.
The hotel staff were very helpful and able to accommodate my early arrival. Vegetarian breakfasts are available as standard and were very tasty. I stayed on my own on a Sunday night so was able to secure a good deal, I would recommend this hotel but look out for deals as you may not want to pay full price.

Located at the seaside, easy to walk Brighton Pier and almost 15 mnts. to walk city centre.Breakfast is served downstairs, nice selection with orange juice .The room was not small and bathroom is nice. One thing that we faced was quite interesting and unique application. When we return from the city we saw that the bed were not been made/tidied , only the room cleaned and shampoo etc has been replaced. When I asked the reason to receptionist he explained that the staff has been instruction not to touch the bed if there is anything on it.Yes, our folded pajamas were on the pillows , so if you want your bed to be made put your pajamas at somewhere else.

Have seen this hotel every time we go to Brighton, so it was just me and my husband who booked in to see what it was like. Room was small but everything was to hand, bed nice and comfy, staff friendly. The Hotel is on the seafront so handy to where we wanted to go. Breakfast very nice but wish they did baked beans as being a coeliac need to watch what i eat, love their freshly squeezed orange. Would go back there without a doubt.

I was a little anxious about staying after I had read some of the reviews, but found this to be a really nice small hotel, which is situated on the seafront at Brighton, not far from Brighton Pier and the shops. The staff were friendly when I spoke to them. I had booked into a single room and was given a small double room which was nice. The bathroom was very small but adequate with complimentary toiletries. The room had everything I needed and the bed was really comfortable. In the room there was an iron and ironing board, hairdryer extra bedding and tea and coffee making facilities plus biscuits and bottled water. The breakfast was amazing- the best cooked breakfast I have had in a hotel. I didnt have the pancakes but saw them and wished I was staying another night so that I could try them, looked amazing. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Stayed in west pier room, was really nice and overlooked the seafront. Perfect location as it allowed us to take in the whole seafront en route to the main pier.

Staff were very helpful, and smokeys was a lovely little restaurant. Room was clean, had a dvd player, comfy bed and hot tub big enough for two!! Right next to secure car park. Couldn't fault it at all and would certainly go back!
