“Rude bar staff, good cocktails”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013 via mobile

We have been to this bar on many occasions.... Great cocktails and a nice spot off the beaten track. We won't we visiting this bar again due to the rude bar staff. It's such a shame as its a good little bar, but ruined by bar tenders that don't have good customer service. We asked for a bowl of nuts to be replaced as they were stale, but got a curt and argumentative response. Very disappointing!

“Best bar in Brighton”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

Cannot rave about or recommend this place enough!
Quirky, cool and slighlty off the beat and track which is perfect to escape too much of the hustle and bustle that brighton nightlife can sometimes be.
Atmosphere there is incredible, its so cosy and the bar staff are great, very talkative and welcoming. Food wasn't available when we went but i believe they serve a mean Sunday roast which i will have to check out.
All cocktails are made fresh to order and you get to watch the bar staff making them completely from scratch as well as recommending twists and takes on typical cocktails to make them even more fabulous. Will visit everytime im in brighton for sure, absolute hidden gem!

“Ambiance, Cocktails & Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

I always try and stop off here for cocktails when visiting Brighton, it maybe small and compact but don't be put off because the cocktails are amazing!

Get settled in with a super choice of background music creating a great atmosphere. Despite being really busy on my last visit and the lack of air con the guys where pretty much non stop serving up spot on cocktails each time with awesome skill!

If you want cocktails in Brighton give this place a try!

“Excellent Late Sunday Lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

We turned up here last Sunday after a long day walking about the Laines after a recommendation from the B&B. Very welcoming place, and Sunday lunch was excellent; big slices of beef, melt in the mouth yorkshire pudding, more potatoes than I could eat and a large helping of veg. The Jack Daniels Profiteroles topped it off excellently. A really good place to relax and rewind, Im sorry we didn't get to do the evening cocktails as the menu looked more than tempting... Next time!

“Just what we needed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Great bar with good music. The staff were fun and very chatty. The bar has music themed nights and we were there on a British music night. The choice of tunes led to some interesting debate amongst the punters.
