“Love it!”

I always take people that visit me in Brighton to Tooks's cafe - such a friendly atmosphere, very cosy and nice. Food is amazing! The only regret is that you cannot pre-book the table so I am never sure if we will get a place when we walk in. But otherwise - one of the best Thai restaurants in Brighton.

“Great food and fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

We saw that Tooktas had a high tripadvisor rating and really good comments so we gave it a go last Saturday night. It was really busy when we arrived but luckily there was 1 table for 2 left (you can't book a table for 2 but apparently there's a pub nearby where you could wait). We ordered the crab cake and prawn toasts which you could tell were made by the chef and better than any others tasted in the UK. We then had a chicken with chilli basil stir fry which was really good and hot (be warned!) and a prawn pad thai which was excellent. Having had a number of poor/average thai meals in the UK we were thrilled to have authentic and very tasty thai food. The wine is very good value which we had lots of, generous portions of food and drink! We would visit here loads but don't live nearby but any excuse to come back to Brighton will include a trip to Tooktas cafe. The service also was great, very helpful and friendly and a good laugh at the end with the owners. Try it you won't be disappointed!

“Cute and Cosy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

Went here after it's good reviews on trip advisor. Small little restaurant with a nice ambiance. The staff are helpful and quick to serve. Not a massive menu but has all the classic, the prawn toast and dipping sauce were yum!! Will visit again.

“OMG WOW”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

Great little restaurant, small and cozy. Food was freshly cooked and delicious, I had the squid for starter, never tasted squid that good before it melted in my mouth. The host/cook came out of the kitchen spoke to each table and made everyone feel very welcome. Will defiantly be returning, soon hopefully.

“Love it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

Doesn't really look like a restaurant from the outside, inside is quite small and cosy. The owner "Tookta" was very welcoming and so friendly it was like visiting someones home, the food was delicious, we were even asked if we would like some more!! I can't think of one negative thing to say about this little restaurant and look forward to visiting again
