We stayed for three nights on a cheap "pre-pay" deal - £50 per night including breakfast! For this price, even allowing for the £10 parking charge, this is must be the bargain of the year! Easy walk to Brighton city centre and beyond (we walked to Brighton Marina one morning). Good access to public transport and right on the seafront. Room was a good size and clean. We were on first floor at the side, so garbage and delivery lorries provided early morning calls (6.30 am!!) But, the rest of the night was quiet. No complaint about breakfast - good selection (but cold toast). With all the places to eat in Brighton, we didn't bother with dinner.

At this price, we could not go wrong!

So for £160 midweek excluding breakfast I was expecting something pretty darn good.

They do have parking (pretty amazing given the seafront location) & I understand that the hotel has had a pretty recent refurb. However I think the refurb has perhaps been done on the cheap. I was part of a large group & a couple of people said their showers were not working that well & 1 said the TV kept shutting off midway through a programme (no, I don't think it was one of those pay for channels). The big problem though is that it is a very hot building- even without central heating being on a number of people complained about this

You are a bit out from the centre here but not so much as it would be a problem & you are only a couple of minutes from the Regency Cafe (smart fish & chips).

On balance though , nothing special, & I would need a good discount offer to go back again

Stayed for two nights which was on the whole ok. Hotel looks as if it has gone through some kind of recent refurbishments as the rooms, lobby area looked very nice and modern.

Biggest problem we had though was the car park. As there are simply not enough spaces for guests, so we had to park in a local carpark which cost us £30 for two days. The hotel car park also charges guests £10 per night so bear this in mind.

Breakfast was not fantastic either as food simply wasn't made to a very high standard. Considering the hotel is charging £150 per night i was surprised by how below par the food was when compared to other hotels.

On a good note though the hotel is in a great location and that really made up for the other little things that sort of went wrong.

I have stayed at a few hotels in Brighton which I have never bothered reviewing before because they were either in a noisy location (Steine Gardens) or in a pretty poor state of repair!

This was different, the Hotel is situated directly on the seafront - a 15min walk along the seafront to the Pier/Bus Station and is quiet being away from where most of the clubs are. The facade of the hotel is old but certainly the rear of the hotel where we were was modernised. The room had full facilties, a very comfortable bed with nice linen and the bathroom was spotless. We got a great deal on Expedia and ended up with an Executive room which we hadn't paid for - this was the largest hotel room of any we have stayed in whilst in Europe. I would not hesitate to stay here again and I am very fussy and a light sleeper. We never had breakfast at the hotel but there are literally hundreds of places to eat in Brighton so it was never a problem. I don't think you could go wrong here even if you were allocated a Standard room as long as you don't mind a 15 minute walk.

I recently booked 2 family rooms at the Ramada Jarvis in Brighton as we'd stayed there a couple of years ago and had a really nice time. This was another enjoyable stay - all staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were extremely nice, spacious, clean and stocked with everything you could need (including a fan as, fortunately, we visited during two very hot sunny days!). The breakfast was fantastic with a large selection of everything you could possibly want - ideal when staying with two children who never eat the same things. Parking is a little pricey at £10 per night but given that parking in Brighton is such a nightmare it is a small price to pay. Location is excellent being right on the seafront near the children's paddling pool/sandpit with the town centre a 10 minute walk away. Only downside was that the first time we stayed there was a swimming pool, which sadly was no longer open this time. Would definitely recommend and will stay there again with my family in the future.
