“I know nothing...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

...about Vietnamese food, other than that my partner and I have been here four times, and it's been excellent every time. As I say this place is my one and only experience with this cuisine, so I've no idea whether it's authentic; only that it's very delicious. The staff and young, energetic, attentive yet not invasive, and very charming and friendly. I think we've encountered about six or seven different waiters/waitresses and each of them were lovely.
It's very easy to find delicious starters and mains here, even for vegetarians like us; and on top of that a few careful choices means that you can eat high-taste but low-fat.
Tasty, crisp Vietnamese beer too. Can't remember much about the price other than that we've been perfectly happy with it.

“Great Vietnamese food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

I had dinner here over the Easter bank holiday weekend with a good friend. So far, I have only been to their Soho branch. When we arrived at about 9pm, we were seated to table quickly. We had the Goi Cuon Tom and Cha Gio as starters and proceeded with Bun Tom Hue and Bun Cha Gio Tom as mains. Food is delicious and size portions are good. Prices at Pho have always been reasonable for UK standards for the food that they are offering. Service very attentive and will definitely be back again.

“Not bad at all.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

Visited this restaurant with friends whilst in Brighton over Easter weekend. The Tampopo, Wagamama communional eastern Asian restaurant is not my favourite type of restaurant.
Pho was busy so we had a 20 minute wait for a table for 9 which was fair enough on Easter Saturday
The staff was pleasant and the food perfectly nice reasonably priced with good range of vegetarian options.
The Banana fritter and cocoanut ice cream was lovely/

“Pho Brighton review - food tasty, good value but service amateur”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013 via mobile

Visited last night for the first time. Seated quickly which was good as it was a busy Saturday eve and we hasn't booked.

Order taken fairly promptly, pork spring rolls and prawn crackers to start and 2 "pho" dishes (noodle soups) for mains. Starters came and were excellent, especially the spring rolls with their sticky soy and peanut dip. Main courses were a big bowl of soup/stock with noodles, veg and your choice of meat/fish. You then add in fresh herbs and spices such as mint, coriander, chilli (watch out for these bad boys!), bean sprouts etc. It tasted clean, freshly made and very wholesome, definitely impressed.

The staff, while friendly and informative, do not seem to run a very tight ship. Not knowing which tables had ordered drinks, clearing part of our table's dishes when not everyone had finished eating, quite slow to get things done. It's a real shame because you're left feeling a little disappointed with the whole experience.

Would possibly return again but suggest to owners they work on the staff training as it is definitely needed.
