“Charming Guesthouse, with even more charming owner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This was booked yesterday for a stay last night. Within minutes of booking, Chris, the Proprietor was on the phone and asking if he could help in any way to better my experience at Kempfield House. Our room was admittedly very small, and at the top of the building, but, it was spotlessly clean and tidy and came with complimentary water, biscuits and teas and coffees and wifi. Unlike other reviewers we weren't bothered by the occasional street noise, but understood that we were in central Brighton so it was expected. The location was ideal, with very good local bistros and pubs, and a short walk from Town and the pier.
Great place. And made all the better by the very super host.

Excellent location in vibrant Kemptown but tucked down one of the quieter streets. Close to beach. Extremely friendly staff who went out of their way to greet and help visitors. Complementary wine, water, biscuits etc. are a nice touch. Vegetarian options at breakfast (including the yoghurt), which was plentiful. Pleasant spacious room. Very clean. I would certainly stay here again. A really good bed and breakfast option for Brighton.

Room Tip: There is the potential for street noise, due to the vibrant area and that the front of the property...

Our first stay in a UK B&B and what a great experience, the room was huge , spotless clean with big comfy bed and plump soft pillows. Great shower with heaps of pressure. The breakfast was plentiful and yummy and kept us going through to dinner time, Monica and Anna could not have been more helpful, thanks ladies we really enjoyed our stay with you.

I stayed in Brighton for 2 nights with my friend. This hotel is a great choice! It is located in the city centre, exactly in front of the Brighton wheel and Brighton pier. The stuff was very kind and friendly. I have read somewhere that this hotel is quite noisy, but I do not agree. I have not heard anything, the street was quite calm. Room was clean, with comfortable bed, television and there was also a tea and cofee bags with some cookies so you could prepare a snack in the room. The only disadvantage was the bathroom door - it was not able to close them fully.

I can honestly say that this is the best B&B I have stayed in whilst in Brighton. The owner Chris and all of his staff are warm, friendly and helpful. The rooms are bright and clean and the breakfasts are wonderful. It is within walking distance of all the major attractions and is in the heart of bustling Kemptown. Book early!

Picked this B&B due to the reviews on booking.com and was not let down whatsoever. Great location, walking distance from pier, wheel, sea life centre, Dome etc and not too far from the Lanes either.
Had a great one night stay, thought it was a beautiful touch that the owner called us on the day to make sure we knew where the B&B was located as some people have trouble when driving in. Rooms were clean and homely, went for the superior so had a lovely big and comfortable bed with ensuite. Also had a complementary half bottle of wine which was lovely as we were down for a concert and made a nice pre-tipple prior to going out. Would greatly recommend this B&B, great atmosphere, good security on the door having a pin to open mechanism and close to everything in Brighton of interest.

After reading the fab reviews of this B&B I can say that our stay there lived up to all our expectations and more! Why go to impersonal, standard hotels when you can be as comfortable as if you were in your own home with the added bonus of being treated to a trayful of extras including chocolates and a small botle of wine as well as a freshly cooked delicious breakfast to set you up for a day of sightseeing or a long journey home.
It is no surprise to me that out of season Kempfield House had the "No vacancies" sign on the door. Book with confidence, its great!
