“Landlord letting drunk customers harass musicians and customers”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2013

I am fed up of having my enjoyment at the Ranelagh pub ruined by the drunks allowed to continue drinking when they are being a nuisance and even verbally abusing and physically threatening the musician trying to perform. I now dont look forward to visiting the pub as I never know what unpleasant and out of control person is going to be there. This has been going on for many months, even when Barry owned it. The landlord should refuse to serve drunk people and remove those who are harassing other customers and musicians

“Blues Bar”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

Very atmospheric. Loved the decor and blues guitar music. Outside seating if it is warm enough. Worth a stop off for a pint or two!

“Music to our ears”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Located down a side street off the 'main' road in Kempton. The sound of a blues band ensured that it was worth looking in at (there had been quite a few pubs in the area that we gave a miss). Great atmosphere & the staff very friendly. The band 'The Blind Lemons' a local group were great, just wished we had found it earlier in the evening instead of the 'trendy' pubs in the centre of Brighton, and seen more of the act .

“Brighton Pubs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2008

Stopped in on a walk by and was warmly welcomed by Barry, the owner/operator. Was made to feel "part of the family" and welcomed back a week later for another visit. When mt wife left her pusre over night by mistake, it was waiting there the next day with a pint as a "penalty". No finer in pub in Brighton.
