after many emails to many different people in the area booked from friday 29th march to friday 5th april on swanage bay holiday park for £250 .
It was a treat for my elderly parents found the caravan on directholidayhomes.com
I've used this site MANY times to book wounderful family trips for myself and my parents.
Looked at the photo's seemed ok a little older but clean tidy ect and a veranda with great views.
The owner told us that he would have to call the office to get it ready for us , we arrived on a freezing march day (but the weather is no-ones fault I understand that 100%) but because of the weather this is why I booked a double glazed central heated caravan for us.
If we hadn't traveled so far on good friday I think we would have turned back as soon as we got there.
The site was a nightmare to find with the instructions we were given, upon opening the caravan door we had an old tube tv stuck in the middle of the living room floor, the carpet was not cleaned, every cushion was stained, the cupboards in the living room was filled with personal belongings toys ect, a light bulb was out ,curtains and door curtain marked and stained,
Under all the beds there was bagged up personal belongings so we had no where to put our suit cases, they had a mower box in the cleaning cupboard which ment the hoover was left in the toilet. All the taps where dripping 24/7, the duvet and pillows where stained (but we bring our own) there was only two pans (and we're a family that cook all our own meals) ,the fridge had to be washed before it could be used and had a crack in the seal, there was no CO detector, none of the electrics had the electric safe sticker on it, we couldn't use the veranda because it was over grown with brambles and nettles ect....Even though it was central heated it was still very cold. The view was nice but as soon as you turned around and looked at the caravan the view wasn't enough to make up for this,
We went into swanage itself and found it rather borning I would not like to keep children happy in this area, you had to pay for the piere, the train was quite expensive and we put two hours in the car park and was back in the car with 45mins to spare, very little to see and do, added with a terrible caravan swanage isn't a place we will be going to again.
