I reserved a hardstanding pitch for my motorhome and after a horrendous journey from just outside London, I finally arrived at the site at 7.45 on a horrid Friday evening. Of course the reception had closed hours before but there was a mobile telephone number, for the hopeless like us! I explained this was my first experience of motorhoming and this jovial man, whom I now know to be JC, said he would meet with us in a few minutes. In torrential rain and I exaggerate not, JC said he would take us to our plot. Upon arrival, even in the truly dreadful weather, he was agreeable to helping me 'hook up' to the electrics as I had not a clue. Evidently, a torch is required, when trying to arrange electrics in the dark, a torch that I did not possess. Without any thought, the amiable JC went back to his home to fetch his torch for us to use. Throughout all of his time assisting me and my 3 year old son, in particuarly unpleasant weather, he was effortlessly pleasant something you don't encounter too often. Everyone else working on site was completely lovely too but I was so thrilled to have been welcomed by JC, little star. JC had better hide as Louis and I will be back in the summer.....
