“Lovely place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

We had a lovely weekend at The Whirlies, which is set in a lovely location and beautiful surrounding area. The breakfast was excellent including homemade bread and a tasty fruit salad. It was nice to watch the birds during breakfast and the room was very comfortable. Trevor and Carole made you feel welcome and were very helpful.

We stayed with Trevor and Carole for the weekend recently for a break after a busy and stressful time,we found them to be most welcoming and helpful. Our room was excellent and also our breakfast.
I left a jacket in the wardrobe and Carole was good enough to post it to me for which I was very grateful.

Beautiful area so much to see !!!

We stayed with Trevor and Carole a few weeks ago for a wedding in the area, and it was the perfect place, making the weekend into a lovely holiday too. Trevor and Carole couldn't have been more helpful, checking how busy the ferry was to make sure we made it in good time to the ceremony in Poole, and getting hot chocolate in specially for one of our party. It really was a treat to stay at the Whirlies, fabulous tasty breakfast, great hosts, and very comfortable rooms with tea, coffee and biscuits on hand. And a hairdryer - very useful for getting ready! Highly recommended.

After a busy wedding we took a 3 day break and found The Whirlies the perfect place to relax Nothing was too much for Trevor and Carol, from a gorgeous breakfast, comfortable room, tentative, help and advice for the local area. It made our break.

I enjoyed a 'get away from it all' 4 night break at The Whirlies for the first time last August. I felt completely at home on arrival, being made most welcome by Carole and Trevor, two very special hosts. The Whirlies is perfectly situated for exploring the delights Purbeck has to offer; and a very comfortable room with breathtaking views awaited my tourist-weary return each evening. I could not have wished for a more idyllic base and can highly recommend the experience. Breakfast in the conservatory each day was a real treat - made extra special by Trevor's clever music selections and the bird watching opportunities. Definitely a unique place, the peace of which has remained with me for the rest of the year. I fully intend to repeat the experience next Summer. Jan C

A very pleasant stay over a long weekend. Very friendly and helpful hosts, lovely breakfasts and a beautiful area to stay. We loved the bird feeders to look at whilst eating breakfast.
We would certainly recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing few days.

We have stayed at The Whirlies regularly over the last 3 years and always enjoyed our times with Trevor and Carole who make us feel at home. A lovely quite, peaceful and relaxing setting with beautiful views over the countryside. The rooms and facilities are first class and spotless with a lot of pleasing touches. The breakfast is excellent and has everything it should have for those with a healthy and not so healthy (i.e. the lovely cooked breakfast!) appetite. Ideal location for exploring the area and lovely coast as well as the safe sandy beach just down the road in Swanage. It is always a joy to return to the Whirlies, which we will be staying at again this month (November 2012). A highly rated B&B that we would, and have, recommended to anyone. Margaret and Martyn T
