“Good Location, well equipped flats.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

Just got back from spending a week in flat #1. This is a well layed out 2 bedroom flat overlooking burlington road. The kitchen is well equipped, we cooked most nights, the only thing missing was oven mitts. We were on our honeymoon and there was wine and a congratulation card waiting for us in the lounge when we arrived, which was a really nice touch.
There are two good sized bedrooms and the beds are comfy. The location is great as you are just minutes away from the beach and a short stroll to the town centre. The only negative thing was that the carpets and furniture had a lot of pet hair on them. Which caused some sniffling from my husband and I as we have pet allergies.

Room Tip: Definetely go for the sea view flats if they are available.

We have just returned from an excellent week in Flat 2 at The Marston and did not want to leave. The flat is at the top of the house and the views over the bay are breathtaking, the flat was very clean and had everything we needed, the off-road parking was excellent with a space allocated to each of the 3 flats, the welcome pack is a lovely idea and a great help, ideally situated in a quiet part of Swanage with only a 5 min walk to the beach, a 10 min walk into the town and a 10 min walk to the Coastal path. We would definately return to the Marston flats.

This is the best place we have stayed in Swanage, if you want a well-equipped, clean and affordable self-catering apartment next to the sea then you will not find better.

On our arrival we were met with a welcome pack of biscuits, milk, sugar, orange juice and everything to get us started.

We cooked most evenings, there wasn’t a thing missing from the kitchen cupboards including special plastic cups and bowls for our little girl.

The furnishings were all modern (the beds were better than home!) and made us feel very comfortable indeed. From our flat we had a wonderful view of Burlington Chine, the sea and the Isle of Wight (on a good day). The flat even had a set of binoculars so that we could look in on passing ships – giving hours of entertainment for the small one!

Now we have found the Marston Holiday Flats, I don’t think we would stay anywhere else in Swanage, (we’re planning our next trip back already).

Well done Jackie and family for making us feel so welcome, see you next time.

Room Tip: Try and get a flat with a sea view, they really are stunning!!

We've just returned from a week in flat 2 of Marston Holiday Flats. We were very impressed with the flat, it was spacious and well equipped, with the most wonderful view of the sea and right across to the Isle of Wight (until the sea mist came in!). Watching dogs playing on the beach from the sitting room was far more entertaining than watching television! We loved the location of the flats, in a very quiet residential area away from the town centre. The stroll into town along the shore road only takes 10 or so minutes and is a lovely walk. All in all, a wonderful place to stay and we would recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet place to stay in a lovely area of the country.

Little to add to all the other positive reviews. This is, in the 'time honoured' phrase, 'a little gem'. Our second visit(10th to 17th December 2011) was booked very much at the last minute, but everything with the booking worked perfectly. Jackie is an exemplary 'host' and the flats seem to be full of those 'little extras' you often look for but rarely find. We stayed in Flat 3, as on our previous visit and this falt has lovely views towards 'Old Harry' and across to the Isle of Wight from the living room and both bedrooms. We also had a look at Flat 2 whilst we were there, and this has, if anything even more stunning views. Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed with our 3 children at the weekend for a friends 40 birthday bash (our friends stayed in one of the other flats).

The stay was just brilliant ! - flat was really well equipped in a stunning location and was very child friendly. Everything seemed very 'home from home' and a lot of thought has obviously gone into guests needs.

Beach was only about a minutes walk away and Swanage had a real holiday feel to it.

All in all a superb stay.

We stayed in Flat 1 for a week, the flat was spotless and Jackie helpfully provided a cot at no extra charge. It's a great location, quiet but within an easy walk of the town centre, and right by a beautiful part of the beach. Highly recommended.
