the new premier inn was as you expect clean tidy & modern with 4 excellent resturants around it, i would recommend that you try the food at either the Zizzis, Nando's or other italian which were all very good again as you would hope from new set ups. The breakfast at the premier was cold & in the evening i was warned oiff the food in the hotel by a couple staying there. However there promise of a great nights sleep was exactly what i had.

I can recommend this hotel as the ideal base for exploring the West Country.
Near excellent restaurants, do not be put off by Brewery Square development. On the contrary this ever-growing facility will make you want to return.

The hotel is a new build on a new complex which when complete will be great, there is no parking at the hotel at the moment, so we had to park over the road, £2 for 24 hours so not too bad and only a short walk. You can park outside the hotel to check in and drop your cases off so there is no need to drag them across from the car park. Check in was slow but polite, the room was clean and tidy although you can't open the windows and have to rely on the air conditioning, hence the "ish" comment, which worked okay but some people don't get on with it so please be aware of this. Breakfast was plentiful and to a good standard, we had the light breakfast and there was plenty of it, toast, muffins, croissants, crumpets, fresh fruit, cereal and unlimited hot drinks...great location and would stay here again.

Having grown up in Dorchester, my family and I are now regular visitors, which until now has been difficult in terms of accommodation. A lot of Dorchester hotels are either too expensive or not really cut out for small children. At last I have an alternative option, where I know what I am going to get. A typicl Premier Inn family room and a good breakfast, that is all we need and am pleased to say that the new hotel in Dorchester hasn't disappointed.

Located right in the heart of the town, close to the market and the new cinema and shopping development, this hotel is perfectly located, for a very decent price. Loads of places to eat nearby (although mainly Italian based which we thought it was a shame there wasn't more choice - Zizzi, Carluccio and the food in the Premier Inn is also Italian based) The train station is literally a minute away giving quick access to Weymouth and the seafront. The kids loved playing in the new fountains at Brewery Square (how things have changed in 25 year!).

Couple of pointers:

Limited car parking - although we turned up late at night and were pleasantly surprised to be invited to use the underground car park, although I believe access to this is limited, mainly to disabled. The market car park is very close if you need parking, just remember market days are Wednesday and car boot is Sunday morning so the car parks can be very busy on these days. It has a very cheap daily rate at least.

Secondly, there is building work going on in Brewery Square at the moment (summer 2013). This did not affect us whatsoever while we were there, but there may be works so best check with the hotel if you are bothered about this sort of thing.

This place has only been open 5 weeks, staff are very friendly, helpful & polite. This is by far the best premier inn i have ever been in. Good location - no on site parking yet for able bodied. Parking is a few minutes away at £2 for 24 hrs. Well located and though the complex is still undergoing building works - fairly quiet, with little disruption. Food in te eestaurant is basic but hearty. Bar a bit limited, but decent beds & pillows to get your head down everynight!

Booked this 3 night stay from USA. Had to illegally park outside hotel as unloading area full of construction vehicles. Was not told about lack of parking until we arrived -parking not far but not fun in pouring rain lugging 2 cases out of car park, across 2 busy roads. Car park good value at 2 pounds per day, but it meant getting to the car park each morning before 8 to apply a ticket...I did ask if we could pay the night before and was told no. Parking free in car park between 6pm and 8am, but 60 pounds fine if no ticket between 8am and 6pm. Reception infrequently staffed and took 2 hours and 2 trips to get cups, glasses and coffee on our 2nd day. Front desk staff very cheerful when they were there, they seem to work the restaurant too??? Not particularly knowledgeable about parking etc. Rooms super clean, basic..no 'phone; no clock!!!ll no iron or board...but cheap and great location. Carluccio's very near and delicious. Would return next trip if parking improved ..could not park outside again when we left so more lugging of cases. Noisy from builders during day, had to leave one day as drilling was so loud, but this will not be forever, just while Brewery Square being completed.

We stayed at this newly opened hotel on 10 May as we were in Dorchester to visit Monkey World the following day. The hotel has only been open around 5 weeks and is very fresh and new. Some reviewers have complained about the card access to the lifts but we didn't find a problem with this. We had booked a disabled access room and it was huge with a lovely large bathroom (shower over bath though). The bed was queen size and there were a choice of pillows available in the room rather than having to ask for extra. Tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, soap, shampoo etc all available in room. A small flat screen TV but fine. The hotel is in a construction area as the Brewery Square is being built around it. We had no problem with noise though even though we were on the first floor. Once it's finished it's going to be lovely around there. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We had pre-paid breakfast with our booking (£60 B&B with booking.com); this was self service - food was fine, hot and plentiful and again the staff were extremely helpful.

So nothing bad to say - will definitely visit again
