Things seem very strained, and if I were the owner, I would be worried.... The place itself is lovely, quiet and clean, with good rooms. However, the food was very erratic and the service awful.... Dinner took ages, one of the mains was inedible, waitress service was poor (a table next to us took pity on us waiting and gave us their bread!), breakfast was served to my partner 20 mins before me, and we had to wait 50 minutes for it. There is no proper management, and it shows.... The head chef is delightful but was on bar duty as there were not enough staff.... There was a walk-out in the kitchen during the evening meals... Those who were there were trying hard and were very nice, but it felt like they were working very much against the odds.... It is a great shame as it has such potential and has clearly been very successful in the past. Unless new management steps in, I feel things will just steadily go downhill and that would be a great shame.....Oh dear......
