“A genuinely warm welcome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

Recently stayed in this pub/B&B and really enjoyed ourselves - the welcome was genuinely warm, the room large, comfortable and extremely clean. The food in the restaurant was tasty and fresh and wine by the bottle reasonably priced. Overall a very pleasant stay, would certainly go back - a B&B to book if you enjoy walking the Dorset Ridgeway, plus it is close to interesting local archaeological sites. The pub also has evening activities during the week e.g. quiz night, curry night etc.

“A Dorset Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

From the moment we arrived for our two night stay we were very impressed. Chris, Anne-Marie, Micky and Sara were the perfect hosts - nothing too much trouble. This pub is what you want - friendly attentive staff, a well stocked bar, delicious food - they have an amazing chef. We chose one of their steaks - it was succulent. The Banoffee Pie was out of this world - best one I have tasted. Our second night I had carbonara and my partner had the chicken korma - both absolutely delicious. My sweet tooth enticed me to the raspberry meringue - out of this world. Our accommodation was spacious, clean and very quiet - bed so comfortable. This pub is dog friendly which is why we chose it. The pub offers various entertainment evenings - from live music to curry nights. This village is very picturesque and well worth a visit - made even more appealing by having a pub run by such enthusiastic hosts. Well done. Hopefully we will be back soon.

“Superb”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

To say I'm impressed by this place is an understatement. Micky,Sara, Chris and Anne-Marie are the warmest, friendliest pub landlords/landladies you could wish to meet. They've transformed this pub. Just take a look at other recent Tripadvisor reviews to see what I mean. On this occasion, I chose the chicken and ham pie (yummy!!) from the main menu, but if you fancy something a bit more elaborate (and sometimes I do) there's a choice of specials on a blackboard. I've enjoyed every meal that I've eaten here.
We have spread the word about this place, and on one occasion, we had three generations of my family dining here together. Micky,Sara, Chris and Anne-Marie -- my advice to you is simply to carry on as you are, because you are doing a fine job.

“Wonderful *****”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

Great service. Wonderful staff, very attentive. Excellent food and beer. Family friendly - please don't let this comment put non-families off. The Brewers Arms is not in the commercial vein of chain pubs. It offers great food choices for all tastes.
We visited by chance on 'cinema night' - locals having great fun, inclusive and not intrusive.
We all had a great meal and a truly enjoyable evening. Thank you.

“Absolutely Fabulous! Everything you could wish for! You must visit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

Where do i start? Sara, Mickey, Anne-Marie & Chris took over the Brewers Arms only a few months ago & it is clear to see why they are already a huge success. It was lovely to hear the locals speak so highly of them with comments such as "they have brought the village back to life!" From the minute you walk in, you are greeted with a very warm & friendly welcome, nothing is too much troiuble for them. The pub is authentic with great food & drink, it is spotlessly clean & there is always something going on, from curry nights to live music. The live music this weekend was incredible & catered for all ages, you could enjoy the music but at same times, enjoy your food & conversation. If you want to make a night of it, they have 2 guest rooms which are beautiful, with every detail catered for & you can round that off with a hearty breakfast in the morning. The Brewers Arms is in a beautiful location & there are plenty of things to see & do in the area. Well worth a visit. You will definitely want to go back! Thank you for a fabulous weekend!
