What a great pub!
I found it by accident when my best friend and I were looking for somewhere to meet for an evening out. We now visit regularly, often with our families too. Sunday lunch here is definitely worth considering.
The atmosphere is great. Sitting in front of a roaring log fire on a cold, wet evening, with a good pint and eating a huge home made cottage pie. How can you beat that??!
The four new owners are very welcoming and all the staff are friendly and helpful.
I find myself visiting more and more, despite living a fair drive away. If I could I would pick the entire place up and put it just round the corner from my home.
I haven't stayed there yet, though I have been very tempted some evenings. But I can only imagine that it would be a terrific place to stay for summer visitors.
If you are looking for a great venue to spend an evening all I can say is - STAY AWAY, I WANT TO KEEP IT FOR MYSELF!! Lol
