We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Avalon Beach Hotel, Southbourne. We were greeted by Patricia who was a very genuine and friendly hostess. We arrived earlier than the stated room availability time, but nevertheless were taken immediately to our room. We had dinner at the hotel in the evening, excellent food, the coffee ameretto crunch is to die for. A lovely relaxing ambience in the dining room. We stayed in Guinevere, a extremely modern king sized bedroom with sofa and flat screen television. Ultra modern bathroom with large shower cubicle and power shower which was used twice a day by my husband and I. Breakfast was also excellent, good choice of cereal, fruit and home made scones and banana bread, delicious. We had a great stay at the Avalon and we will definitely return.

Can't say enough about the hospitality and friendliness of all the staff at Avalon Beach Hotel. We were greeted at our taxi, and helped in with our baby and bags, and given a pot of tea in the garden and juice for her while our rooms were finished. The rooms are superb. Well decorated in a modern tasteful way and full of everything you need.What a fantastic location for families. Great self catering options, and a huge and safe garden for them to play in, plus the "clockhouse" full of toys to keep them occupied on rainy days and in the evenings. Patricia and Paul have clearly put a lot of thought into catering for all their guests needs, and families in particular are really well looked after. We were able to put our baby to bed, and relax and enjoy a meal and fabulous bottle of wine in their little restaurant with a baby monitor ensuring we could keep an ear to her. An invaluable service for families with young children and so appreciated. It's five minutes from southbourne main street in one direction and the beach in the other. Our only regret was that we were only there for one night and we certainly plan to make a return trip in the very near future. A great find!

We stayed here for four days in August in the ground floor apartment. The room was modern, immaculately clean and had everything you could need.We had our 2 children with us (5 and 8) and they had a great time playing in the garden and in the new games room. The homecooked food was excellent. Paul and Patricia are the perfect hosts, very welcoming and full of information on the local area.
An outstanding hotel in a perfect area , will definately be returning.

My husband and i have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Avalon Beach hotel and it was great! We stayed in Arthur which is a double room with an ensuite shower room and a 2 seater settee with a LCD tv. The decor of the room was very nice, in fact the whole hotel was decorated beautifully. The hotel was spottless. Breakfast on both mornings was plentiful and on our last night we decided to have dinner at the hotel. It was £19 for 3 courses which we thought was reasonable and we were very glad that we had made that decision as dinner was very nice and we ate so much we were stuffed! Would def recommend this hotel to friends and family.
