Can't say enough about the hospitality and friendliness of all the staff at Avalon Beach Hotel. We were greeted at our taxi, and helped in with our baby and bags, and given a pot of tea in the garden and juice for her while our rooms were finished. The rooms are superb. Well decorated in a modern tasteful way and full of everything you need.What a fantastic location for families. Great self catering options, and a huge and safe garden for them to play in, plus the "clockhouse" full of toys to keep them occupied on rainy days and in the evenings. Patricia and Paul have clearly put a lot of thought into catering for all their guests needs, and families in particular are really well looked after. We were able to put our baby to bed, and relax and enjoy a meal and fabulous bottle of wine in their little restaurant with a baby monitor ensuring we could keep an ear to her. An invaluable service for families with young children and so appreciated. It's five minutes from southbourne main street in one direction and the beach in the other. Our only regret was that we were only there for one night and we certainly plan to make a return trip in the very near future. A great find!

We stayed here for four days in August in the ground floor apartment. The room was modern, immaculately clean and had everything you could need.We had our 2 children with us (5 and 8) and they had a great time playing in the garden and in the new games room. The homecooked food was excellent. Paul and Patricia are the perfect hosts, very welcoming and full of information on the local area.
An outstanding hotel in a perfect area , will definately be returning.

My husband and i have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Avalon Beach hotel and it was great! We stayed in Arthur which is a double room with an ensuite shower room and a 2 seater settee with a LCD tv. The decor of the room was very nice, in fact the whole hotel was decorated beautifully. The hotel was spottless. Breakfast on both mornings was plentiful and on our last night we decided to have dinner at the hotel. It was £19 for 3 courses which we thought was reasonable and we were very glad that we had made that decision as dinner was very nice and we ate so much we were stuffed! Would def recommend this hotel to friends and family.

We have just returned from a great weekend, staying at the Avalon Beach Hotel. We have stayed before, and returned this time with some friends. The whole hotel is so welcoming, comfortable, clean and the breakfasts are delicious. Paul and Patricia are a nice friendly couple and nothing is too much trouble. We shall be going back next year to experience more of the same. Our friends were very impressed too.
The location is ideal, it is so near the beach, and great for walking the coast.
Boscombe is approx half an hours walk away, and has improved greatly. The pier has been restored and is now open, and there are alot of new apartments and "surf pods" being built on the coast in readines for the new "surf school". A visit to Boscombe Gardens is recommended too.
After all this walking, the king size comfortable bed is great!.
