We have just returned from a weekend holiday at the Avalon Beach Hotel and it was lovely in every regard--from the warm hospitality of our hosts, Patricia and Paul to the personalized, gourmet meals and highly attentive service. We stayed in the Galahad family room and were awakened each morning to the smells of banana bread baking downstairs. Each evening Patricia asked us what our children would like for dinner--even going so far as to accommodate their special requests (raw carrots for this one, can I have potatoes instead of pasta?, etc.). Patricia saw to it that we were directed to the best "crazy" golf in town and gave us very handy tips for getting around and getting the most from our holiday. We would heartily recommend the Avalon Beach hotel. It's fantastic.

A group of us spent two nights in this lovely hotel and nothing was too much trouble. From calling taxis, enabling use of the beach hut to directions to the nearest pub, Paul & Patricia were there to help. We had dinner at the hotel one night and the food was excellent. If you're looking for value, accompanied by great service and a modern touch, this is the place to stay. This family business venture is certainly going to pay off, because everything about the Avalon Beach Hotel is first class.

Booked for nine guys to stay at The Avalon based on the rating given by "Trip Advisor" for a golfing weekend. Have to state that the #1 rating is correct. Paul and Patricia were fantastic. They were always available for any requests from the group and went out of their way to organise eating at local restaurants, taxis and also ensuring the correct beer was available in the hotel. Rooms were very comfortable and the atmosphere was almost home like. The group have requested we go again next year so will be looking for a reduction in terms plus also the good review here should get the price down (Hope Paul is reading this). Bottom line is that a definate recommend from the people I went with and we will do it again

What a great place to stay. Hotel is small and impeccably clean and beautifully decorated with delicious food available if required. The rooms are well appointed and the beds are a dream! Near to the beach and cliffside walks and a short bus ride into town. Make sure you sample the homecooking for your evening meal and the breakfasts are excellent. Loved it all.
