5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2012

The only complaint was that it rained too much... :D. The hotel and staff were delightful. Very good breakfast and friendly service. Located about 10 minutes uphill from the city centre, so if you are carrying luggage highly recommend a taxi.

We stayed for 3 nights at the Claremont in the superior family room.
Room- decent size, furniture a little tired, clean towels daily, squeeky floorboards.
Location- we found this fine for us, 10 min walk to town centre, 5 mins to the beach, shop across the road.
Staff- very polite and efficent.
Breakfast- satisfactory.
Overall a pleasant stay however if we went to Bournemouth again we would prefer to stay somewhere a bit more modern.

I went to this hotel in Mid-July. Firstly, Adam, the owner, I can't give enough praise and thanks. He is sociable and friendly and his staff were also attentive and friendly, always happy to help. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful, the range of food and the quality was excellent. The room was clean, tidy and was cleaned daily. The communal bar area is a fantastic area to sit and relax and as a musician, the piano was a added feature that was a benefit to me. Highly recommended and great value for money for the services.

I had a recent pleasant experience when I checked into the "Claremont" Expedia/Late Rooms I learned hadn't transferred my online reservation to this hotel & as they were full they couldn't accommodate me.
However Adnan pulled out all the stops ensuring I was able to stay in another hotel. He was calm, professional & pleasant throughout.
Theoretically I wasn't his problem yet he took the time to make me a hot drink, explained the process involved in being relocated & kindly took my luggage to a waiting taxi which he ordered for me.
Such fantastic courtesy is not usual nowadays.
What could have been an absolute nightmare was entirely avoided by the kindness of one individual.

In June this year i booked people into this little B & B. All i can say is a big thankyou to Adam. Everybody loved his warm atmoshere. The rooms were clean which complimented the whole hotel. Breakfast was super in the little dining room and the hotel has the advantage of holding a licenced bar which is great after a days competing, allowing the children to relax in the comfort and safety of the hotel while the parents unwind with a drink downstairs. I have already booked this hotel for the future cheer internationals 2013, but would recommend a stay here any time of the year. Thank you Adam and your team on behalf of us all xx

We stayed here for 3 nights to attend a convention. Rooms are a bit on the small side but well furnished and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and the food excellent, brilliant breakfast. Cleanliness was high priority and all requests were sorted out quickly. Worth booking if you want to feel at home.

Room Tip: Contact the hotel in advance and ask for a good size room.

We stayed here last week and it was okay. We thought that it was overpriced but clean and tidy. It is called a hotel but has a star rating for a guest house. They are not the same. I must apologize to anybody that I woke up when I used the shower (No bath) early in the morning. The power pump was the noisiest that I have ever encountered!! It is also a bit of a nuisance that the front door is always kept locked during the day when there is a staff member at the small reception desk just inside. The breakfast was cooked to order (Hot bits) and was of good quality. It is in a stag/hen/Irish Pub area and was by far the dearest hotel in the area going by advertised prices outside them. There was not a table to place a laptop, etc, on in the room.
