Went to Bay View Court Hotel with my husband, son, mum and dad, we all had a brilliant time. Staff were wonderful, very helpful and friendly. Went to indoor pool every day which was great. Rooms were fantastic, beautiful views from window. We had relations come to visit us that we hadn't seen for many years and the staff couldn't have been better. Food was perfect, this was the best hotel that we have been to and will certainly be going back soon.

We stayed at this hotel over Easter 2009 and initial reactions were disappointing. The gentleman in reception appeared to be more interested in greeting returning guests rather than paying attention to us checking in. Someone else took over and completed the arrival arrangements. The overall poor quality decoration of all areas was a bit of a shock and the room was hardly large enough for a single person let alone a couple. Top bed linen was worn, the wallpaper was dated and very dull, the bed was fraying at the edges and the carpeting (including that in the bathroom) was past it's sell by date. The lifts are slow and one can only take two people (with no luggage).
We did however find that the food was very good and the attentiveness of the waiting staff was really worthy of praise.
The entertainment did not suit us so we gave it a miss each night.
Excellent location and if you are lucky you may get a view of the sea or the Isle of Wight.
Probably would not stay there again - the hotel brochure makes it look a lot better than it is. Would probably not give it 2* let alone 3*

I have stayed at the Bay View Court a few times and would like to say how much my wife and I have enjoyed our visits. We have been here in all seasons and find the staff very pleasant and would have no hesititation in returning. the food is good and the rooms are clean and tidy, and the entertainment is very varied, from a single keyboard player who loves to have a good old singalong,(with songsheets) to duos who sing all kinds of songs to ensure everyone is enjoying themselves, long may it remain one of our favourite places to stay.

It was dowdy, needed upgrading, bathroom dangerous, Food deplorable.
