“Wonderful B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

Thoroughly enjoyed our 7 night stay at The Cransley. Lovely accommodation, very comfortable, stylish and welcoming. Delicious breakfasts with many choices; Jonathon and Simon where perfect hosts, friendly and helpful. Good location, walking distance from the railway station and an amazing bus service to many places of interest. Would recommend.

Had a very pleasant stay. The Cransley website is a true and accurate picture of the extremely comfortable accommodation. All of the little finishing touches really do make a difference and we would most definitely return and recommend. The breakfast was served with good quality ingredients and the bed was really comfortable
Thanks guys really enjoyed our stay despite the weather and there is nothing anyone can do about that. Ruth and RIchard

Room Tip: Just tell the guys your requirements I am sure they will accommodate if possible

Had a fantastic time, Jonathan and Simon are excellent hosts , nothing too much trouble. Brakfasts are great with many choices and their home is the perfect mix of stylish elegance with welcoming comfort. We will try not to leave it so long before returning again.

Just stayed at the Cransley B&B for three nights. Hmm.. me and the wife had a three and a half hour ride from the midlands and once we got there we were greeted by the owner who was very friendly and nice. He offered us tea and coffee which I thought was good as we were pretty tired from the journey. We checked in and we were told where the beach, restaurants and places to visit all were that we wanted to go to. The bedroom was everything we wanted but the bathroom was average as the shower was not to our expectation. However that was probably due to the fact that we booked online and didnt get a choice of rooms as Cransleys website stated. The owner did try to find us another room but it was already given out. Overall we would come back as our stay was excellent.

Thank you for your review, it was a pleasure meeting you both.
I'm sorry you ended up with a bath when you would have preferred a shower.
As you mentioned in your review, there are pictures of all the rooms and facilities on our own website.
To facilitate this we have added a link to our website at the top of our Tripadvisor listing.

Looking forward to meeting you both again,

Kind regards,

Jonathan Perry

I am writing this review on behalf of my parents ( in their 70's) who stayed here 6-12 july.
"this is a superb B&B as good as any we have stayed. The kindness extended to us by hosts Jonathan and Simon matched the quality and elegance of thier delightful home.if you are looking for accommodation that is out of the ordinary, GO THERE!! It is nice to be "at home whilst you are away.... and we were". The hotel was immaculate! The breakfast was delicious, and they gave us lots of information about sights to see, direction, bus times etc.
For evening meals... enjoy greek ambience and super food at Romanza in west bourne or Casa Pepe 5mins from the Cransley for lovely food."

Just made our annual visit to the Cransley in Bournemouth, had a great stay enhanced by some great weather .The Cransley is a lovely house with a beautiful garden well run by the owners Jonathan and Simon who are both keen to make sure you enjoy your stay . They are cheerful and friendly and willing to answer any queries you may have about what is on and where to go and how to get there .The breakfast selection is very good and they make sure you have plenty of toast ,tea and coffee nothing is too much bother .The house has a calming atmosphere and the music playing in the downstairs rooms help to create the ambience .The house is well placed for bus and railway stations and bus route to the town .We have never been disappointed with our stays at the Cransley and always hope to be back next year .Thank you Jonathan and Simon always nice to see you both - Joe & Gladys

We visited over the weekend of 12 July, and managed to get the last room when we booked the week before.
Having stayed at larger hotels in Bournemouth we wanted somewhere smaller. Having read the TripAdvisor reviews this fitted the bill.
Hotel is well located about 10 minutes to the beach and similar to towna and the restaurants on Old Christchurch Road.
Very friendly welcome by Simon & Jonathan.
Room was excellent and with good decor as was the rest of the hotel. The garden was wonderful and so relaxing to sit outside with a bottel of wine.
Breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Simon & Jonathan for a perfect stay - Russ & Sandra.

Room Tip: Our room was South facing with views over the garden.
