5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2014

This was myself and my wife's first visit to Bournemouth, so we decided to try out Chalfield Manor. We wasn't disappointed this place has it all, superb service, wonderful food and brilliant staff. The hotel has been decorated to a really high standard and the the rooms are very well thought out even down to putting sewing packs in the bath rooms.A truly beautiful old manor house with a modern feel to it , just a lovely place to stay and unwind .Thanks for your hospitality Dexter and Otilla and not forgetting your lovely waiter, porter ,keep up the good work

We booked this boutique hotel for a couple of days to visit Bournemouth. The accommodation was in a property that has been meticulously renovated with great attention to detail. If this is the type of accommodation you value, then it is for you. The staff are attentive and made our stay memorable in every possible way.
The location is near the cliff above Boscombe Pier and hence a short walk to the sea. For us this was an ideal location, since we walked from here into Bournemouth and then Poole along the sea front.
There is a good choice of restaurants nearby by and we found Trip Advisor very helpful.
It is a hotel we will certainly return to, when visiting Bournemouth.

Room Tip: A family room is available. Ask for a bath if you prefer this to a shower.

I visited the area to see my friend and I changed to this hotel only a few months before. It was the best decision of my life. The hotel is in this very beautiful building. My check in was the easiest and fastest I have ever had while traveling. This also applies to my check out. The staff was very friendly, social and helpful. I had room number 4 and I was completely satisfied. I would recommend this hotel for couples, families and solo travelers.

Room Tip: Any rooms which have windows to the hotel garden or the streets around the hotel (I had room 4, whic...

Just returned from wonderful weekend at Chalfield Manor hotel. Dexter and Otilia were very kind, welcoming and extremely hospitable in every way. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and although busy still made time for a chat. The bedroom was beautiful and had absolutely every facility we required, including perfect bedding, towels, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious - from fresh fruit salad to hot cooked - all perfect. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Can't wait to go back for another quiet and relaxing stay.

My partner and I stayed here over the weekend for 2 nights and were welcomed by Dexter and Ottilia who were so friendly. The building itself is beautiful with plentiful parking. The communal areas are decorated with great taste and the bedrooms were large, bright, spotlessly clean and the bathroom is what you would expect in a boutique hotel with a large walk in shower. The breakfast was excellent and although we didn't order hot food, everyone else who did seemed to enjoy it. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the beach and conveniently located for Bournemouth and Christchurch. Highly recommended...pricey when compared to other hotels in the area but then you pay for quality and this hotel certainly has plenty of that. It is in a league of its own when compared to all the other rather run-down hotels in the area. Will be coming back.

Room Tip: Room 5 overlooked the gardens and car park and was very quiet.

This B & B is one of the best I've stayed in and it passes my hotel quality towel and bedding test, it's a very clean and quiet B & B and is ideal for adults wanting a weekend away. It's a great location just a short walk from Boscombe pier and is in the quiet part of Boscombe. The Chalfield serves a very good breakfast with ample for all tastes.

Otilia and Dexter were friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. A very enjoyable visit and I'm sure we will be back.
