Booked the Chine for my hen weekend, wondering, at the price we paid on laterooms, what it would be like! Firstly my fears about it being 'out of town' were unfounded (it was £3 in a taxi to town and c.£1 on the shuttle train from the beach at the back of the hotel) and in fact we were better off being in Boscombe, than Bournemouth itself. It was quieter during the day and it had lots of facilities missing from the town centre hotels. We loved the outdoor pool which was like a bath compared to the sea and we also tried out the indoor pool. Best bit however was the really hot outdoor hot tub. We hogged it for ages (it was raining so no-one else wanted it) but even in the rain, you couldn't resist it!
Restaurant has a gorgeous view and the food was unbelievable in quality and choice. My friend and I asked for something that wasn't on the menu and they cooked it for us. They even stored our bottle of champagne in the fridge for us, so we bought lots of drinks at the bar later on.
Only downside were the beds, tad on the soft side, my mum has stayed here too and also had this problem, but it sounds like they are amending this with the refurb. All credit to The Chine, we had a marvellous time and I would certainly recommend this hotel, it is worth encouraging.
