“Great Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

This review is rather late as at time of stay I was not a member of Tripadvisor.
Myself and my husband stayed here August/September time I think and were completely satisfied.
I am a disabled and have a mobility scooter which they very kindly let me leave inside the porch even though we offered to leave in the boot of our car. Even made sure that the room we were given was not a problem as it was the only room left and had one small step down to it which was not an issue.
The owners could not have been more hospitable and I would most defineatly recommend this hotel.
Breakfast was well worth having and the room was very pleasant.
Looking forward to staying here again. Close enough to walk into town and beach area, which for us is a big bonus due to battery life of mobility scooter.
Well worth a visit.

We stayed for three nights and were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. Our room was on the ground floor opposite reception and was quiet, well furnished and spacious.

Breakfast was very good and kept us going throughout the day. The location was ideal; Plenty of off-road parking, a very short walk into town or to the sea front, a local paper and convienience shop, nearby restaraunts and pubs.

Have stayed at Marlins several times before during our daughters time at Bournemouth Arts University, see previous reviews on Trip Advisor.
We would not stay anywhere else.
This time we had three nights here and the Hotel was fully booked, this speaks for itself as other hotels around this area had vacancies.
We needed an earlier breakfast start than the advertised time on one day and Michael and Neil were happy to accommodate us. Love the cooked breakfasts !
I would advise you speak to Neil and Michael if you have any particular room needs.
Thank you for another great stay.

We stayed for a night to go and see my sons degrees show. The location is great, we walked into town and enjoyed people watching in particular the hen And stag nights which were good natured. Hotel is immaculate everything is spotless. And tasteful. Very peaceful night in a comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast in the morning. Spot on!

Myself, my husband and two young children (3 and 14 months) recently stayed at Marlins and it was a most pleasurable experience. We were greeted warmly by Michael and upon our return were very pleased with our room, which had a nice division separating it handily into two smaller rooms (with a tv on each side!) The breakfast was delicious and served to liking. Neal was a delightful host and very good with children, our 3 year old daughter took an immediate shining to him. We will definitely be returning here. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Really lovely old house converted into hotel. The bed linen was too die for white Egyptian cotton the towels were just right not too soft not too hard ..... the room we stopped in was on top floor room 12 had an en-suite in our room they had an extra bed for a child and the room was massive with small seating area too. We took advantage on the library outside our room which was an added touch and the welcome folder on the bed was another fantastic touch told us everything we needed to know about the hotel for example they refreshed the towels every second day, which is good especially if you didn't realise. We would certainly return to this really nice hotel if we returned to Bournemouth

Room Tip: Room 12 is beautiful

Michael and Neil were great hosts making us all (20) feel very welcome. The hosts were very helpful in giving advice and help. The accommodation: rooms / living area / restaurant area were all very clean. Having a family of 5 including 3 little children, we were made to feel at ease by Neil, Michael and the staff. My daughter felt ill on the last day and Michael and Neil were very helpful in letting my daughter stay in the room for longer - thank you so much.
