“Good atmosphere, lovely coffee!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

........ and food. We had the club sandwich at lunchtime. Good atmosphere and friendly staff and the coffee was possibly better than Costa!

“A breath of fresh air”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

We have now eaten at the Larder House twice and I can't compliment it more. So often new restaurants open and promise so much, try to be different and fail. This could not be further from the truth here. A huge amount of thought has gone into the menu from the sourcing of the produce, from all around Europe, the excellent preparation and the thoughtful but rustic presentation. It was also interesting going back a second time to see that they were brave enough to change the menu to show their full versatility. I had the lamb 3 ways on the first occasion and daisy 3 ways this time, both were outstanding. Each time we asked for recommendations from the drinks menu which included rare sherries, Madeiras, great choice of wine and an incredible selection of cocktails, imaginatively presented. All this coupled with a cosy and relaxed atmosphere this really does make for a perfect dinner destination.

“Lovely Sunday lunch at Larderhouse”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

Cold wet Sunday - what a lovely treat going for Sunday lunch at Larder House !
Beautiful roast beef, good size portion, with tasty rich gravy. Proper vegetables, and all piping hot.
Nice dessert - plum, almond, & pistchio tart, slightly overcooked at the edges ( I'm being fussy now), with gorgeous cherry ice cream.
£40 for 2 - a top quality roast lunch with desserts & drinks - great value I think.

“What a find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

What a great atmosphere. We visited this restaurant with friends last night for the first time. What a joy. The ingredients were top quality and put together with some imagination and flare, which worked really well for us. We all chose different and would all have eaten each others choice. Everything was well served so a real big thank you to everyone.

Followers of our posts on Tripadvisor may have seen our review of 'Crazyweed' in Canmore and this restaurant reminds us so much of 'Crazyweed' when it was in its original location in the centre of town. To find the 'Crazyweed' standard and originality in Southbourne is a real treat and we WILL be back.

Well done James. Keep it up.
