“A jewel in Bournemouths crown”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2011

What a delight! I would like to congratulate the management and their staff for creating such a beautiful business, the new refurb has enabled this hotel to rise like the phoenix from the ashes and in so doing, in my opinion, become one of the best hotels in Bournemouth, the decor is an eclectic mix of funky/chic/boutique and would appeal to guests who have a creative eye for design. I wish this wonderful little gem every success in it's new venture and would like to thank everybody at the hotel who provided such an effective and efficient service...... (when can i start work ??? !!!)

What a great way to end the working week. It was so relaxing and the staff were very attentive.
Decided to eat in the bar area instead of the restaurant and was not dissapointed.
Must do this again. This must be the best kept secret in town.

We do not try to keep it a secret! I cannot agree more that enjoying extraordinarily well priced champagne is the perfect way to unwind after a hard week at work. The bar is also a great place to enjoy more of an informal and relaxed dining experience, whilst not missing out on quality food. Please feel free to return every Friday!

What a lovely surprise. Fabulously and colourfully decorated rooms - makes a change from neutrally decorated hotels. Views from terrace and rooms were magnificent. Wonderful restaurant menu and breakfast was superb. Will definitely be returning to try out the afternoon tea. Opposite beaches and short distance to walk into town. What a little gem - I would thoroughly recommend this to all visitors to Bournemouth.

Booked via a hotel search site (sorry I can't remember which one) and arrived 36 hours later. On arrival I was delighted to find it was set back but on the quiet coastal road with an uninterupted view of the sea. The decor is very "boutique" but that's great if you are sick of traditional wallpaper and dull paintings found in most hotels.
It's part of a group of four Hotels virtually next to each other along the front. One has a pool which you can use. Best advice? Take the reduced breakfast offered to you for £5 on arrival! It's fantastic, even the coffee tastes great.
The cheaper rooms are small but the beds are comfortable and the bathroom is adequate. The bar is reasonably priced for a hotel bar and a delightful place to sit. I'm searching for an excuse to go again! Well done Cottonwood.

Room Tip: Pay a little more if space and/or view is important. If you just want a comfortable bed then get the...

I find it is easy to come up with an excuse when you are receiving great value for money! Although we do love that people find it a special occasion to visit our hotel, we also aspire to be a place that guests will return to again and again, as we feel we offer a quality service for comparatively low prices. You appear to agree, and I hope this encourages you to visit us again soon!

We spent a very happy week at the Cottonwood this summer. Having been told it had only been open (after total refurbishment) for 6 weeks we were pleasantly surprised at how confortable and established everything was. The decor was very attractive and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff, headed by Lukasz Dwornik - the General Manager - were all very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Our granddaughter has multiple allergies and the chef went out of his way to accommodate her preferences. The food, whether in the restaurant or the bar, was excellent at all times.

Thank you for the very positive comments you have made. It is very much appreciated, and I always like to pass compliments to our staff, who work very hard to create such a welcoming environment for our guests. We like to think we go the extra mile, and clearly you agree with this sentiment!

We went here for an afternoon champagne tea and it was great!
The hotel entrance is at the back and from the road doesn't look particulaly interesting but once inside it is clean, well decorated and has friendly, efficient staff.
The principal public rooms look over the verandah, gardens and then out to an uninterrupted view of the sea, bliss.
The tea was of good quality with a choice of sandwiches, homemade scones, cake and as much tea as we could drink. The glass of fizz was very welcome.
A lovely way to spend an afternoon.

I am so pleased that you had such a lovely afternoon, and that our afternoon tea superseded your expectations. I feel that offering quality service and friendly surroundings is one of the most important aspects of running a hotel, and this is what I believe we are achieving here at the Cottonwood. It also helps that we have such fabulous views of Bournemouth to offer our guests. I do hope you will return to us again soon.
