My husband and I looked around at so many venues for our wedding. We had 130 guests and some of them had a long way to travel so they needed to stay over.
We decided on the Best Western Connaught as the manager, Paul was absolutely brilliant and made sure we were happy with everything in advance. We met the chef and had a full tour.
On the day we couldn't believe how brilliant the staff were. We didn't even need to ask for anything as they just seemed to know what was needed and did it immediately.
Our wedding ceremony was watched by all 130 guests in the most wonderful surroundings of the wedding hall with lovely chandeliers and perfectly decorated chairs. We all then went outside in their beautiful courtyard, which was the perfect backdrop to all our photos, which are now all in a lovely album! During that photo shoot they had re-arranged the room and set it out for 130 guests to sit and eat. The food was just fantastic and amazingly fresh! They provided huge amounts of food so no one went without, which we thought was very important as it was everyones main meal.
Our honeymoon suite was fantastic and had everything you could possible need and was very spacious.
So many of our guests commented on how wonderful the venue and staff had been and many of us stayed over for 2 or 3 nights so we had plenty of opportunity to use their gym and pool, which was great to relax!
The prices were so brilliant as many other hotels that we looked at were nothing in comparison and still wanted a fortune. Sometimes you just get that mad pricing strategy from places when you say you want to book a wedding and they load up the price! The Connaughts were all set out in advance and there were no surprises afterwards as what we budgeted for was exactly what we paid.
If you would like the most memorable and fantastic wedding day and evening then I can guarantee you that the Connaught is the place to hold it.
