Well arrived at the hotel to a reasonable reception area. Checked into the hotel and was on my way to the room about 5 mins later.
On arrival in the room - it was a good size. The bathroom was ok - it had obviously just been renovated, but only partially. There were still what seemed to be 70's fittings in an otherwise modern bathroom- I mean if they are going to refurbish it at least do a complete job !!
The only good thing about the room itself was the size. The bed was dirty (stains on pillow, mattress, cover etc etc). There were also stains over the carpet which needed a good clean. Old fashioned smelly chairs and furniture in general. The TV was awful and the remote control for the TV had obviously seen better days (yeah it was dirty also)
Unfortunately the hotel (even after its obvious refurbishment) was not up to scratch. A little money had been spent on the room when it was obvious that EVERYTHING in the room needed to be stripped out and renewed.
Disappointing to say the least. At between 80-150 £ per night this is one place to stay clear of.
