We stayed at this hotel for one reason only to start with , it was a late decision to have a few days away and we wanted it cheap .. Cheap it was, £50.00 a night including breakfast for a Double room ... On being shown to our room my first thoughts were oh no what have we done , The room is decorated with paper that i had in the 90's and the furniture is possibly from the 70's .. the shower is tiled in tiles that are also dated , but what do you want for the money ?? we needed a clean bed to crash down in for a few days and a decent breakfast both which we had . We booked a double room but had two singles when we told the receptionist she quickly told us its not a problem , we went out for the day and when we came back we had a double bed
All in all id say its not the Ritz , its dated but its clean the owners have apprently only been in since APRIL so thier first season . i would go back but know what to expect next time
The breakfast was buffet style which is included in the price and you could eat as much as you wanted

I found this hotel at last minute of a Friday night after having the worst experience in the Charlesworth Hotel (Bournemouth). I was very pleased with the way the receptionist welcomed us (my and mom). He, and the rest of the hotel employees, were such a nice people that really made our stay in Bournemouth a worth experience.

I found the room to be very cleaned!. The breakfast time was the best: really good English breakfast (all you can it) and more healthy options too (cereal, porridge, fruit, etc).

Room Tip: Higher floors are less noisy

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff friendly and welcoming. Room small, basic, but clean with a very comfortable bed. I admit the water pressure wasn't brilliant but the shower was still adequate. We were disturbed once during the night by people shouting loudly in the street - we certainly didn't hear anything from our neighbouring rooms. Breakfast was excellent - the hot buffet was served in smallish dishes which were replaced frequently so the food was fresh and hot. Location is excellent - an easy (if hilly!) walk to the promenade, pier and town centre. We found a parking space but when we were ready to leave, discovered we'd been 'boxed in' by another resident. However the receptionist acted quickly to find the guilty party and our departure was delayed by no more than five minutes. Would definitely stay at Bourne Hall again.

Booked this on booking.com the day before, found plenty of free parking to the rear of hotel. When checking in found to have been allocated a twin instead of a double ,this was quickly remedied to an upgraded room. The room was clean and found the bed really comfy. The breakfast is a choice of cereals or full english which was very good.On the whole found all the staff very pleasant and for £50 pounds a night good value.

pros:
1:friendly & helpful staff
2: comfy bed/matress
3: Great location just minutes from the beach
4: Better breakfast bacon than the Hilton!

Cons:
1: Wafer thin walls carry every sound
2: poor decor throughout from worn carpet to windows that don't close properly to cheap fittings - the whole place could also do with a good clean.
3: Tiny double rooms
4: Inattenive bar staff - the lad on duty when I was there was more interested in ladding it up with some lad customers rather serve me.

Coopermanagement, Front Office Manager at Bourne Hall Hotel, responded to this review, August 31, 2012
Our hotel has parking at the front and back of the building, it is limited parking however with it being the "high season" it can make it more difficult to park within Bournemouth itself. Our carpark has suffient parking for the size of the hotel.

As the sign states at reception, the hotel is under new management and is and will continue to be making improvements within the hotel.

We are a 2 star hotel and offer a higher standard required for that basis. Our guests pay very good prices.

The toaster in the restaurant cooks the toast when going through it once, however if the toast is put through more than once than it can cause the toast to burn!

We have had a large number of people visit us during this very busy period and have received very good and nice feedback from them.
