We have been visiting the Crab at Bournemouth on numerous occassions in the past, however we will NOT be returning there again, after we had a taster of their horrible customer service.
The problem with this restaurant is that the service is either excellent or terrible, depending on what night one goes there, without any consistency whatsoever.
We had celebrated a family occassion at the Crab a few months ago, and they've ruined it... food was served cold, orders got missing, some people had their pudding delivered while others were still waiting on their main, etc...
After the manager's apologies we have been re-assured that that occasion was just a little mess, that happens at the best places as well. Again, we kept going to the crab and had very good experiences.
However, last time, in March, again we had clearly gotten "one of those days" at the Crab: first of all their bar ran out of orange juice, half their starters were not availiable. Then our cremed potatoe served with our main was ice cold, and had to be re-done. Again by the time we got our mains back, half of our party has finished their meal.
We have written to the management to express our disappointment, and to our surprise they have denied that any of the above happened to us! I am utterly disgusted by the way the management at the Crab is treating their customers.
