We have just returned from a three night stay at In our living room and we had a fantastic time. The B&B is situated within perfect walking distance from the beach, central Bournemouth and the piers.
The breakfast menu has something for everyone and the service each morning was excellent.
We booked room 3, which was the superior double and it had everything we needed. It was cleaned daily, with tea and coffee being restocked.
The staff were all very polite. We would definately recommend staying here, if you're after a nice, relaxed stay in Bournemouth.

Stayed for Bank Holiday weekend, good location near 2 great beaches and some really good restaurants. Great welcome from Andy and everyone friendly & helpful. Good breakfast, traditional but with a twist. Highly recommend.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

We only stayed in Our Living Room for two nights in late March ... not enough time to get to know the owner Andy and his team but we were so very happy to be there. My grandfather has lived in Westbourne for 30 years and I know the area well.
I am recommending this place to my whole family when they go to visit.
The quirky "granny-chic" decor of our room and the main cafe was spot on. The books on the bookshelf signify a place of people who think and care about the world. Our breakfast and the soups at lunch were totally yummy and so was the coffee.
Our only gripe would be that the bathroom plumbing/ventilation had a couple of very very minor odour issues.. (a strange smell one morning). But we have stayed in enough B&B's in older buildings to know that this comes with the territory.
And these things were really, really minor.. the room was kept in an immaculately beautiful and clean condition. The cleaning lady rocks!
Above all, it was really a joy to be in a place that had a genuine family feel to it...
We will definitely stay there again!

Hi, Thank you for leaving a review, I hope your onward journey went well! I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Sorry about the smell you mentioned, we actually discovered a minor plumbing issue which we had fixed straight away that has sorted the problem. Really hope to see you again soon!

We stayed for only one night on a brief trip to the area, but were made to feel very welcome by Andy who opened the door to us and made us a well needed pot of tea. The interior of the sitting / dining room is very tasteful and different to many dated B & Bs that you find. Our room was small, but immaculate and again nicely furnished. The shower was good and we had everything we needed. The breakfast was lovely - we both opted for the full English, but had we been staying longer would have liked to try the other tempting offers! If we return to the area we would deinately book again and will highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely if brief stay!

My husband and I were in this hotel during the Easter holidays (4 days) and we were very happy for choosing this B&B. Everybody is very friendly, the space is nice and warm, the bed is comfortable and the breakfast is yummy. The hot breakfast is cooked after you order, so expect to spend a while waiting, but it's worth it.
The soundproofing isn't great between rooms, but I didn't have any problems with this - no noise during the night (the hotel was full).
We had a car, so the location was perfect - a very quite area with free parking, but still close to the city center, the sea, etc.

This is the first ever review I have left on tripadvisor and was moved to do so by the wonderful experience I had staying at The Living Room. I have stayed for around 15 nights over the last 2 months as i relocating for work and have found the quality, cleanliness and homeliness of the rooms fantastic, the food delicious, location really convenient but the real selling point for me is the service - Andy and Anna are so friendly and couldnt do enough for me when I was there. A fab place to stay.
