Stayed here last year and returned to the area on business and wow it's a totally different place! New owners really seem to have a grip on professional and speedy service. So great have booked to bring family back for the air show weekend in August! Excellent food as well, b&bs need a super breakie and this certainly had that!! Thank you v much!!!!

We were only planning to stay one night, but the hospitality we recieved when we arrived along with how comfortable the rooms are were enough for us to stay another night. The people running it I believe have only just taken over but they were ever so friendly and happy to please. The breakfast was really good quality food and the extra night was worth the breakfast alone. Will recommend to friends and family.

Room Tip: Any room away from entrance hall, a lot quieter.

WARNING!!!!!! DO NOT STAY
My husband and i and our 2 children stayed at park hotel Knole rd last night and i must say i was appalled by the hotel/b&b. We stayed in room 2 the place stunk of damp and musky smell and the carpets were filthy, last night before i fell asleep i noticed 3 small bites on my left hip which itched and were red i thought perhaps it was a bite from earlier on in the day i feel asleep and awoke covered in big red lumps on my back which now had grown enormous in size of 50pence pieces once home i rushed to a pharmacy and asked hm if he knew what they was and immediatly he comfirmed they were BED BUG BITES!!!!on travel home whithin 2mins of having breakf and leaving my daughter vomited violently for half an hr. also the kettle stunk of body odour when it was boiled and the bathroom was appalling.also paid for a family room and got shoved in a double room with no en suite

Room Tip: go elsewhere

I am very sorry to hear that you had a bad experince when you stayed here. I thought I would contact you as on 16th July meself, husband and mother-in-law took over this hotel. After reading your review I threw all the beds out and replaced them with new ones. We are in the process of replacing everything and doing the hotel up.
I do hope that maybe you may think about staying at this hotel again someday.
Once again sorry you had a bad experince here and the problems that were in your review have now been rectified.

A really nice couple run this hotel, which goes along way when you prefer a personal service.
The room was spacious, clean and pleasant. My only complaint would be that the mattress was uncomfortable, so we flipped it and it was much better.
The room wasn't ensuite but the bathroom is facing the room shared by another room.
Try the koh restaurant round the corner for great Thai food, the owner of the hotel will give you a discount code if you ask them.
Breakfast was lovely in the morning, this definetly was a plus.
This place is ideal for group booking, like stag, hen or groups wanting to go there for the surf. You'd be able to party away and they would quite happily let you.

We had high hopes for this hotel.......On the phone we specified we would need a cot, when we arrived through a tired entrance hall we were taken to our room which was right next door to the entrance door of the hotel which slams shut. The room was decorated hideously. The owner then proceeds to mention that she doesnt have any cots as another family had two! Not very happy at all, I ended up sharing a bed with my 6 month old baby. Through the night guests were coming in and out of the hotel and that front door kept slamming shut behind them and waking us all. The breakfast was a high point. Very nice, but again the dining room was very tired looking, and there were two highchairs, but we were told our baby was too small for one of those, and clearly they required them for the other guests!
I was glad to leave the hotel and move on to the cottage we were due to stay at for the week. Thank goodness we didnt have to stay there for more than one night.
I am sorry but although the owner was very pleasant I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was dirty: hairs and dust into the drawers, a biscuit on the floor near the shower. Even if we booked for a room with ensuite facilities, they gave us a room with private facilities.
