I read most of the reviews before booking this hotel and I really don't know why I was worried! OK Parking! yes it would be great if there was more parking and it was free but there isn't you are warned on this site by other reviewers and the hotels website makes it very clear to.
We didn't bank on getting a place as we were driving back from a day out in Paultons Park so knew we couldn't get to hotel early.
We arrived at 7pm found the hotel easily and it was nicer than the pictures showed and the car park had several spaces to the front side and back unfortunately it was full.
I walked into reception they said we could park in front and unload our car take our bags to our room which was great as our daughter had gone to sleep
There was a very nice man helping at reception I was allowed to check in and my husband unloaded the car and with the help of the doorman took all our bags to our room.
We were then given printed directions to park the car 5 minutes down the rd which my husband did no problems at all a very busy large wide road to park on with people walking around so didn't feel as if the car would be damaged in anyway.
Our room was on the first floor and at the back of the hotel as I had requested also I had asked for mattress toppers which had also been fitted to our beds (as I find Premier Inn mattresses to hard) my daughter had a proper single bed which was great and our room had air conditioning with a flat screen TV with many channels to view if needed.
On check Inn I requested an iron and board and it was delivered to our room within minutes of us arriving.
BREAKFAST......self service couldn't fault it all week hot food, nice window seat near reception seated quickly just lovely!
LOCATION.....great especially if you parked off site on the Claradon Rd as if you drive straight down onto Westcliffe approx. 5 minutes away by car you reach the cliff top and zig zag path to the beach and you can park for free (I think this worked out best as you saved money on parking)
on return to the Hotel we didn't even bother trying to see if there was a place free to park as we continued to park on the Claradon Rd for the duration of our stay for convenience and cost savings and we had a 5 year child with us so don't panic about parking unless you really need a space (there are 2 disability parking bays)
We didn't use bus service but regular buses do stop nearby hotel, there is also a small TESCO nearby (approx. 10 minute walk) if you do forget anything or want to buy snacks/drinks for the beach and there are nice café's and restaurants nearby to (in the direction of TESCO)
Overall great stay and we would stop here again.
