“Smallest family room I have ever seen”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

We stayed on Good Friday for one night because we had a 6am ferry from Poole the next morning and couldn't face driving through the night.

We arrived about 3pm and found a parking space without a problem - I guess we were one of the lucky ones - although there was parking on the road quite close to the hotel and reception staff helpfully gave us a map showing where we could park if the car park was full.

Our room was cosy to say the least. It was made up for 3 even though our booking was for 2 adults and 2 children. As we were going out we asked at reception if they could make up the fourth bed and put some extra towels in the room. We got back about 7pm and the room was exactly as we had left it. After calling reception again they sent a chambermaid up. She managed to get the fourth bed out from under the double but with 4 beds you couldn't actually get
into the beds without climbing over them. When I asked her if she was going to leave it like that she asked if we were unhappy with our room. I said I was and she informed me that the hotel was full so we would have to make the best of it. We rearranged the furniture ourselves so we could actually get to all of the beds and then had an early night as we had a 4.30am start.

In the end we slept pretty well and headed off the Poole for the ferry next morning.

I would guess that being Easter weekend the family rooms had been overbooked and we ended up with a room which would be perfectly acceptable for 2 or 3 persons but not 4. Not what we expect of a Premier Inn!

Other than the bedroom size the hotel is in a great location, just 10 minutes walk from the Town Centre, and in pretty good condition. As with all Premier Inns there is no shaver socket in the bathroom, but I am getting used to that now and pack a 2-pin adaptor.

If you are heading for an early ferry Poole Harbour is about 10 minutes drive at 4.30am.

Good location, central but also quiet. Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. Excellent bedding and pillows. Shower with good power. Breakfast fresh and constantly replenished so never ran out. Healthy options provided. Helpful staff. Late check out (12pm) handy for families. Busy hotel at half term but never disturbed by noise at night. Mostly occupied by families, busy during the day and sleeping soundly at night. Car park a bit small and was full in the evenings. Alternative free parking was provided a few streets away. Was not a major problem. Would definitely come back and recommend it to others.

We're happy to accommodate a group of 15 19-40yr olds and to rearrange furniture for breakfast they were friendly and welcoming even when we were a little loud. Check in was easy and were happy to have name changes to the rooms and were thorough that we had all we booked.

Our first stay at this hotel and as always with Premier Inns it met the usual high standard of clean comfortable accommodation, with everything one requires for a good night's sleep. We parked in front of the hotel without any problems, even though it was a busy Bank Holiday weekend. The welcome was friendly and efficient. We did not eat in the restaurant as we were dining with fdamily, but the facilitiues looked very pleasant.
We had a good night of undisturbed sleep and would happily return to this hotel.
As it was a BH weekend we paid the full price of £79 for a double room without breakfast.

It is a new, nice and clean hotel, definitely a good place for a short break. We stayed there for 2 nights in May and there was nothing that we could really complain about. The only one thing is a parking which is too small for this hotel. We arrived around 5 pm and the parking was already full so we had to park our car on the street parking, few minutes walking from the hotel.
The staff was polite and friendly.
Its location is very convenient. Just walking distance from the centre, beach and restaurants.

We took advantage of their sale rooms, the hotel looked lovely and we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist. The rooms were clean and smart and provided everything we needed for our short stay. Excellent value for money and we look forward to our next stay.
