A beautiful headland well worth visit. Nearest Car Park is BH6 4EN. There are toilets and café at car park. There is a walk up over Hengistbury head, good paths (we saw brave lady on mobility scooter at top!) but there is a steep slope. Views from top stunning all around Mudeford quay, Christchurch harbour, Isle of Wight, down to Bournemouth. Beaches all along southern side. The path comes down to long stretch of beach huts going out to Mudeford Ferry point. There is a bar/restaurant and shop nestled amongst holiday beach huts. The walk back can be along north side of Hengistbury head, through trees, or along marshy edge of Mudeford quay, back to car park. Needs at least half a day to appreciate it all. Can get ferry across to Mudeford and back, just a stones throw away. For those who cannot walk that far there is also a land train from car park along bottom path to beach huts/café.
