“Double Payment”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

Staff at the Bournemouth Premier Inn were not able to confirm that we had pain for breakfast.
Spent some time proving we had paid. Howver the reception staff in question went into PC plod mode and we very nearly booked out.
When they were eventually presented with theiir own receipt(it appearsthat the receptionist did not understand this document) they relented but did not apologise.

I suppose you get what you pay for.
Breakfast is very poor in quality and one would be better off popping out for breakfast. At leasy one would get it fresh. The coffee was apalling.

This is our second stay at this hotel and with a family room this time we got a balcony and sea view overlooking the pier from room 606.This was a new year/birthday break and was such exceptional value for money we will be returning again sometime in the summer. The staff are polite, helpful and always happy. The restaurant serves great breakfasts and dinners ( the meal deal is a brilliant way to get buffet breakfast and a three course evening meal for £23) and the location is second to none, overlooking the sea and a five minute walk from great restaurants and shops.Thank you Premier Inn Bournemouth Central for a great start to 2013,drinks on our balcony overlooking the beach watching fireworks was a good way to see in the new year.WE WILL BE BACK!

I stayed for two nights (29-31 Dec 2012) with my wife and two young boys. This is a very family-friendly hotel with amiable staff and two good bars. The restaurant for both breakfast and dinner is highly recommended. My only grip was with the rooms. The first (309) had a good view of the sea but had a terrible lingering smell like dog dirt which couldn't be eliminated by airing the room. Next morning I couldn't take it any more and asked for a room switch. We were placed in a rear-facing room (500) with no view. As it turned out the new room was incredibly noisy so I had to switch, yet again, to room 702, another rear-facing room but comfortable enough. I am unhappy that I had to switch twice, to rear facing rooms, especially as I was paying rack rate. Unfortunately the Premier Inn staff won't take room requests up front so it's a bit of a lottery what you get. But for the most part you'll enjoy staying here, the hotel location, food, staff and Bournemouth itself are great.

Brilliant location, just 5 mins from beach and shopping area. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent Breakfast and restaurant menu was good and fairly priced.
Overall a well run hotel, friendly staff and the rooms were excellent!

Premier Inn Bournemouth Central has a great location, and offers attractive and quite contemporary accomodation. If you are travelling with children the accomodation with buffet breakfast (children eat free) is very good value. However, the website does not make it clear that the family rooms vary in size. In my first stay I had two interconnected rooms, but on my last stay I had to share a "triple" room with my 14 year old daughter and 10 year old son. Feel the website should have made this clearer, and given me opportunity of booking a separate room.

Fantastic location, beautiful and super modern rooms. You would love it. It was wonderful to spend some of the Christmas season there. The staff were so lovely and friendly. It dosent look anything like a budget hotel.
