Stayed for a weekend, booked via sun holidays. The park is situated a bit out of the way, up lots of hills and winding roads so would be no good in icy or snowy weather!

The park itself is very hilly so if you have any problems walking up hills best to ring them and ask for flat accomodation which will cost £20 to upgrade.

The caravan was basic but very clean and well located. The shop is very well stocked. Nice outdoor play area which you can sit near and have a drink from the restaurant. Didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on the food.

The takeaway food is nice and very popular but far too expensive and choice is limited.

Indoor pool - well located and a great hydro slide which the little one loved, you have to be over 1 metre high to use it. The problem with the swimming pool is that the floor is constantly soaking wet so very difficult to get changed without your clothes getting wet. The changing cubicles are every small and not enough of them, we had to wait. Also only 2 showers.

The evening entertainment. On Sunday it was fab, a storytelling session with puppets. But the other 2 days wasn't as good. There were a lot of gaps in the entertainment where there was just music playing nothing on stage, this means that smaller children get very bored. The venue is very nice though, they just need to be a bit more structured and organised with the entertainment to make sure there is something always going on. Saturday night is always fancy dress competition with parkdean apparently so if you go on a parkdean holiday make sure you take a costume with you for the kiddies to wear!

The amusement arcade is quite good

There was a crazy golf course which looked ok.

There is a small soft play area for toddlers located in the amusement arcade.

There is daytime entertainment for the children, we didn't use this so can't comment

I would recommend overall but i feel that haven holidays are better than parkdean

First time we have stayed at Torquay and have to say our caravan was very nice and in a great location but you need to be aware that it is a very hilly site i would not have liked to have been down one of the hills at this may put me off booking again.
The site facilities are not as big as some of the other parkdeans we have stayed at but the pool was very good and even had a flume.
The evening club and starlanders was great fun for the kids and adults alike. My only negative is that they make you queue which is really annoying at half term when it is queued out the door and people running for tables once the doors are opened! Again this is the only parkdean i have been to where they stop you going into the bar until the staff are ready which when we went was late every day!
Some lovely places to visit locally so a good base.

Room Tip: Ask to stay at the caravans nearer to the complex site less hilly!!

Recently got back from a wonderful Easter break with my husband and daughter. Enjoyed ourselves to the max, only downfall was that most food served in the restaurant could have been home cooked instead of frozen. Wonderful and excellent staff, made us feel so welcomed. The parkdean troupers are such hard workers, such energy my daughter bonded with a trouper called Amy Skelly. Amy made my shy and timid daughter blossomed and participate in the activities. Well done. I took away a star due to the menu issues as well as the horrible plastic mattresses

Spent a lovely week during Easter holiday at Torquay Holiday Park. First caravan holiday we've done but such good value we will be back. We'd booked a Wellswood three-bedroom caravan (Saddle 9) and it was really nice, clean, very warm thanks to much appreciated heaters in every room, decent sized living area and kitchen, large shower room with seperate toilet and bedrooms all with wardrobes.
The only things missing were a tin opener that actually worked and a baking tray for the oven and rack for the grill pan!
The six of us (2 adults, 2 under-10s, 2 teenagers) all had great time. Indoor swimming pool was warm daily and lifeguards Shannon and Luke friendly. Bar/clubroom was busy but plenty of tables and takeaway food counter which was handy and delicious. Entertainment most nights was really good. Our little girl also took park in a couple of daytime events, including popstar club and Easter egg hunt, all for free (we've done Centerparcs previously several times and everything similar is at extra cost) and with really nice, friendly, helpful ParkDean Troupers.
They even realised it was our son's 10th birthday without any prompting and gave him free sweets and drink in the evening. Maintenance staff were really friendly and quick to respond when the power went off in the caravan on one afternoon, and great security staff made us feel confident enough to let our teenagers visit the club unsupervised.
Park's location is quite isolated and on a hill, but there's an Asda 1.5 miles down the road or local shops/bakers/chemist about the same in the other direction. Nearby attractions worth visits include Babbacombe Model Village and Clifftop Railway and Torquay Harbour.
Overall a great week here for half the price we'd have to pay at Centerparcs - we'll be back again.

Recently returned from a stay at Park Dean. Caravan was clean and tidy and excellent playground for the younger memebers of the ginger bread family. Weather was particularly cold but we up graded to a van with central heating which was well worth the money as it was lovely and warm at the end of a busy day.
We viisited the club house most nights for the childrens entertainment which was great for little ginger. He loved dancing along with sid and lizie the resident characters

Returned home today from another great week at Torquay Holiday Park this time our stay was in a Goodrington Caravan - Wow it was an amazing brand new caravan and very much top of the range. Considering the temperature throughout this last week the constant temp control in the caravan was an added bonus and the overall spec of the caravan is fantastic. Again as always all interactions with staff throughout the park were excellent all staff very friendly and helpful. The Entertainment was great. We really didn't want to return home today due to the overall experience at this park but never mind have already booked to return in 5 weeks

Just got back from spending a week in an apartment on this site,we were well impressed with the apartment, everything you could wish for to cater for yourselves.
One downside was the fire in the lounge/kitchen diner,it looked very pleasing to the eye but as for heating the room it was not much good,in each of the 2 bedrooms there were electric convector heaters ,these made the rooms really snug & warm.At this time of year we would have preferred the heat to the look of the fire.
It was quiet on site but could imagine when the site is full it would not suit people who like the peace & quiet of the park setting, its about a 10 min drive into Torquay but there is a parade of shops just down the road for takeaways ,a co-op,chemist,tesco express,a pub, bakery.
There are things on site where you can eat but the takeaway does not open until 6.30pm,far too late for tea time, there is a nice cafe & a shop,as you would expect the shop is not the cheapest but did sell a wide range of goods.
Advice to anyone going make sure you have some form of transport.
Also if you have an apt ask for odd number ones as they have a lovely view from the 2nd & 3rd floor rooms right over Tor bay,we were in a ground floor one (number 8),this overlooked a car park.Would I go again well yes but not in March, try a warmer month.

Room Tip: Any odd number on any of the 3 floors for the best views.
