Stayed for a weekend, booked via sun holidays. The park is situated a bit out of the way, up lots of hills and winding roads so would be no good in icy or snowy weather!
The park itself is very hilly so if you have any problems walking up hills best to ring them and ask for flat accomodation which will cost £20 to upgrade.
The caravan was basic but very clean and well located. The shop is very well stocked. Nice outdoor play area which you can sit near and have a drink from the restaurant. Didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on the food.
The takeaway food is nice and very popular but far too expensive and choice is limited.
Indoor pool - well located and a great hydro slide which the little one loved, you have to be over 1 metre high to use it. The problem with the swimming pool is that the floor is constantly soaking wet so very difficult to get changed without your clothes getting wet. The changing cubicles are every small and not enough of them, we had to wait. Also only 2 showers.
The evening entertainment. On Sunday it was fab, a storytelling session with puppets. But the other 2 days wasn't as good. There were a lot of gaps in the entertainment where there was just music playing nothing on stage, this means that smaller children get very bored. The venue is very nice though, they just need to be a bit more structured and organised with the entertainment to make sure there is something always going on. Saturday night is always fancy dress competition with parkdean apparently so if you go on a parkdean holiday make sure you take a costume with you for the kiddies to wear!
The amusement arcade is quite good
There was a crazy golf course which looked ok.
There is a small soft play area for toddlers located in the amusement arcade.
There is daytime entertainment for the children, we didn't use this so can't comment
I would recommend overall but i feel that haven holidays are better than parkdean
