Tried Lavani last night- superb meal- every mouthful a delicious flavour.I had soft and tasty Brixham scallops to start perfectly cooked with honey , ginger and papaya, my husband had a pigeon breast cooked with lovely spices. Main courses we had were Devon pork loin with a Goan Vindaloo sauce ( tasty but not too hot), and lamb shank cooked slowly in a flavoursome and delicately spiced sauce. Mango mousse and Rose Creme Brulee for desserts. Really the menu is adventurous and always well executed, and is very reasonable for the quality of food served. I would recommend booking as there were a few people who did not get a table on spec, but it was a Saturday night.-Nice to see fresh, light and imaginative anglo-indian food served beautifully, using local produce.- Very highly recommended!
