“best ever fish tasted!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

This fish and chip bar is situated right opposite the harbour in Torquay. The fish is cooked to order and the potatoes for the chips are sourced locally and hand cut , me and my wife had the cod and chips a wait of about 5-10 minutes..Boy was it worth it , the batter was nice and crunchy and the fish just melted in your mouth Mmmm. the chips were cooked to perfection and were crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside . If you love fish & chip then a visit to this shop is a must.

“really is the best fish and chip restsurant in torquay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

This is the cleanest fish and chip restaurant I have ever visited, and the food sensational, very large portions and beautifully cook. reasonable prices and portions to suit, we only had small portion and it was huge more that enough for the average lady, men may prefer medium, but I think the large is for the lads.....

“A Fish Cafe Worthy of The Name!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

We first visited the Harbour Fish Cafe when on holiday in nearby Paignton in July 2012. The overall quality and taste of the food was excellent. Battered fish usually gives my digestion a bit of a battering! This was altogether a different experience. Crisp, tasty, light batter on fresh tasty fish really does take some beating. When coupled with beautifully cooked chips, mushy peas and friendly, efficient service you have to acknowledge a fish cafe that is altogether worthy of the name.
This year we made the very enjoyable trip across the bay from Brixham to Torquay to see if the experience was repeatable. It was! There is no doubt that when visiting the area again this will be a 'must' visit. The position of the cafe by the harbour further adds to a most engaging culinary experience.

“Saved our night out!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

We booked a table for 14 for a work function at another restaurant, and were let down at the last minute by the other restaurant. After ringing just about every restaurant in Torquay, to no avail (it was a busy Saturday night), we popped in here on the offchance... luckily Harbour Cafe came to our rescue! The fish and chips were good, they have a great selection of non-fish dishes and it is a licensed establishment. The only downside is that it is quite pricey compared to other cafes - my main meal cost £8.50. This may be down to the nice location - right on the harbour, as the name suggests! The service was friendly, and we were impressed that they managed to accommodate us at the last minute.
