“doesn't matter about the weather Bygones has it all!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

This unique wonderland has something for everyone, young and older, it will never cease to fail to hit that hot spot! Rain or shine, lots to see and explore, with the station Cafe for taste of one of the best home made Devon cream teas! to a hand crafted sandwich of your choice ! After you have visited the Victorian streets of real life delight, and studied the medals and war memorabilia , yes it goes on and on! the world war trench, and fantasyland for the little ones, what more could you want/ a fabulous day out for all the family, and don't forget, you can get some really good homemade food for excellent value too so no need to worry about that lunch!

“Bygone days in a Tardis!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

Very unassuming entrance to this attraction.....but what a surprise once you have passed through the entrance! This building that was once a cinema now houses a magnificent collection of items from bygone days - displayed over 3 floors. Memories came flooding back of things that we hadn't realised that we'd forgotten about - until we saw them displayed here! The detail in the Victorian street was amazing along with Shop fronts and living room scenes showing how people used to live. There's also a display of a WW1 trench, and several train displays and also some old fashioned slot machines - which could be played! Nice cafe with reasonable prices. Friendly and extremely helpful staff - nothing was too much trouble. A great tourist attraction to spend a couple of hours in and worth every penny!

“Brings back memories”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2014

My 91 year old mother and I loved the memories this brought back in our generation, it does of course go back even further and special mention should go to the WW1 trench display. On a rainy day what better place than to delve into our recent history, accentuated by the authentic exhibits (donated, begged and borrowed), giving you a unique opportunity to relive the past.
