“VINTAGE BUS TOUR - FAB”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2014

We recently booked a trip on the Vintage bus tour to Greenway House. What a fantastic day (although shame the heavens opened and stayed open). We boarded an old vintage bus, the driver Chris was a lovely man who gave us a really informative commentary throughout the journey from Torquay to Greenway House. Although he wasn’t a local he knew a vast amount of history and was incredibly passionate about Agatha Christie and the Torquay area and its many attractions.

The house was interesting and we enjoyed looking around the many fascinating rooms. The guides in each room are very informative and happy to answer any questions. Unfortunately due to the bad weather we couldn’t appreciate the gardens so gave this a miss. We did visit the café, which has a selection of hot food, cakes and drinks, which were all reasonably priced, the staff were friendly and really helpful.
Greenway House is a National Trust property and hence there is an additional fee to pay for entry to the house.
We would highly recommend this trip and would definitely do this again.

“KEEPS YOU ON YOUR TOES !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2014

OK ! - Torquay is very big in the Agatha Christie World ... even if your not an ardent fan, the " mile " is worth a look and it's free - you MUST pick up the free flyer from the Tourist office or downwnload it from there website. Basically you wander round different points of Torquay which have reference to Agatha's life and her work , the leaflet isn't too detailed but there's plenty of other guides out there for help. Although walking is free it will suggest a visit to a couple of paid location - but it's not compulsory - a great way to see Torquay is your a fist time visitor !

“History in a fantastic setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2014

The Vintage Bus with its driver giving a very informative commentary during the journey from Torquay was worth the fare. It is the easiest way to visit Greenway. The house was full of interest and the guides in the rooms more than willing to answer questions. The gardens and walkways made the visit very enjoyable There is a tea room which supplies good quality food and drink.
Greenway is a National Trust property.
