As always before trying a new restaurant, I checked out tripadvisor for previous comments. These seem to show a pretty consistent vote of conidence apart from Camille from Exeter who scored it a 'terrible'. I like to think that I am a fairly savvy diner with wide experience and believe that Camille may be a disgruntled competitor and thus the tone of her review is way out of line with what I and others have found.
The evening was a delightful experience from the moment we stepped through the door. The decor was beautifully arraigned in a French cafe style with forties style music gently playing in the background giving it an appealing ambience. Service was very efficient and the menu enticing. With a two or three cours emeal available from £9.99 it was also not expensive. There were several seafood specials available and the wine list was excellent. The owner/chef came into the rstaurant at the end of the meal and was charming and entertaining. I would strongly recommed this restaurant to anyone in the Torquay area, vistor or local alike.
