Decided on a drive to Babbacombe to find the cliff where the recent land slip had occured. Had not been to Babbacombe beach before and was pleased to find an interesting looking hotel/pub called the Cary Arms. Called in for a drink ( nice pint of Otter) but was tempted by the menu up on the wall to stay for lunch. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and the view across the cove made a pleasant vista whilst enjoying lunch. Settled on the fish and chips - tasty piece of haddock, very good home made tartar sauce and interesting presentation with pees in a bucket. Will definately return and the hotel looked good for a stay.
