“Excellents views of the bay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2012

We stayed in both apartments 4 and 10. Really nice apartments, spectacular views of the bay area, walking distance (a shoirt descent and climb) to the city center. I even got to charge my plugin hybrid car every eving, thanks to the helpful housekeeper.

Room Tip: The view is worth the money Apt 4 has two seperate bathrooms

The apartment (Apartment 1) was very well presented, bright and airy. Everything we needed was in the apartment. The view is brilliant across the bay and the little balcony is big enough to sit out on.

It isn't worth paying the extra £25 for the leisure club membership.

The duvet on the bed was far too thick for this time of year, but that's our only comment.

We would stay again.

Room Tip: Apartment 1 is on the top floor (2 flights of stairs up) but if you can manage that, then the views...

Apartment 10 is just out of this world, first impression when entering the lounge is wow !.
The raised dining area with magnificence sea view is incredible and to have your own balcony with furniture is a great bonus.
If the weather is good this is far better than aboard because it all English.
This has got to be close to heaven because your half way there. The day time view is brilliant and night time is just as great. All you need for a perfect holiday is included in this apartment.
Torquay just a steady walk away, Paignton, Brixham and Dartmouth just a boat trip away.Park the car and it stays parked for the time of stay don't need it..
This was one apartment we were sorry to leave and there are not many places you can say that about.

Room Tip: For sea view and balcony no 10 Astor House

Our family of five stayed in apartment 4 and we were very pleased. The kitchen and living rooms were both very large and had spectacular views across the bay. The apartment was clean and very comfortable. Friendly housekeeper close by to help on arrival ... We can highly recommend and will definitely be looking to return.

The apartment 10 definately has the wow factor, the views are amazing. Everthing & more you require for the stay. The balcony with outside furniture was lovely to just sit & relax & enjoly the views. The best apartment we have stayed in. We stayed for the week 26th May & the weather was wonderful.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2012

We travelled to Torquay in March and had a lovely stay in apartment number 4. Absolutely beautiful views of the sea from the sitting room window and the kitchen windows. There is also a lovely balcony in the kitchen to enjoy the views and the seaside air.

A group of 4 of us stayed at the apartment and were really impressed with the quality of the decor and the general look o9f the apartment.

There were a couple of small niggles, firstly there was no bottle opener which we didn’t find out until we went to open a bottle of wine. You can imagine how frustrating this was for all of us and we had to go out and buy some screw top bottles of wine! Not ideal. Also the beds were very soft and a little lumpy which were not the most comfy to sleep on.

The location of the apartment was excellent and once we found out how to get to the garden (which isn’t made clear) it was quick to get into town (although not so quick to get back to the apartment, it is all up hill, but worth it for the views!)

As recommended by the book in the apartment we visited Angle tea rooms and had a delicious cream tea. The best I have ever had although please do book as it gets really busy and we had to sit outside in early march which wasn’t too bad but a little chilly.

We also went to Old Vienna for dinner which was great, a really friendly chef how gave us few shots of schnapps on the house, perfect!

Room Tip: Apartment 4 was perfect!

Walked into a warm clean comtemporary apartment which has amazing veiws from the floor to ceiling windows. The very large wrap around balcony will be lovley in the summer to sit and have breakfast and dinner on. The kitchen has everything you need. The bedroom is a good size. This the best apartment that we have stayed and will look forward in returning. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Stayed in apartment number 10
