“Great value for money”

Easy booking. Easy checking in and out. The rooms were very clean and modern. The bathrooms were clean and modern. Plenty of hot water and fluffy towels. A really nice place to stay. Breakfast was enjoyable.

Stayed in this hotel good location. Room was refurbished was clean basic comfortable. We pre booked breakfast. Was very dissapointed with breakfast. Dining room/bar tables not cleared floor unclean. Staff not around to complain.
Very good location parking on site.

Walked to sea front.

Torquay itself was tired looking, lots of litter. Went to Brixham on the bus well worth a visit.

Myself and the trouble-and-strife stayed here in the Barmy Height of Summer 2014. Upon arrival we were treated like royalty, a really friendly crew of staff and the Manager himself even helped us unload our car! I think his name was Damien or David Wood from memory.... i dont think the manager was a local, as he had a rather "Brummie Twang" to his voice, however the good lady-wife hails from Brummingham-shire, so she was able to translate references to pork scratchings and Steve Bull! I digress... The room was spacious, clean and there was even a deep bath... Short of tucking us in and fluffing our pillows, the staff could have done no more to improve our stay. Food in the restaurant was great value for money, with a comfortable atmosphere and the attentive staff checking on our every need, in my case extra mayonnaise on-tap... All in all this Hotel was a pleasure to visit, the manager has got his staff calling from the same hymn sheet, and in this case the hymn sheet is entitled "Excellent Torquay Hotel"

Pretty much exactly what I expect from a travelodge; not setting the world alight, but a sound quality establishment in a good location offering good quality rooms at cheap bed and breakfast rates. About 1.5mi from the front, it takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the bay, and is generally a little more easy to access than other hotels. Definitely not one to shout about, but I can't complain.

As ever this Travelodge was clean and comfortable. There was an issue with another visitor but the Manager and his staff handled it extremely well. The hospitality at this Travelodge is extremely good, and of course the price is very good too. All in all Travelodge win every time for me.

Room Tip: Lower ground floor not as good as ground and first

It is good to see that the Marketers have taken over from the Accountants at Travelodge! This was proved by a trip to the Torquay Travelodge. There is still room for improvement but it was an excellent experience. The young staff were wonderful and enhanced our stay. The new-look room was clean, bright and comfortable. The towels were good and decent sizes. The small cafe within the hotel was very good and provided food at reasonable prices. The breakfast was particularly good value. There are some quibbles, annoying to have to pay for WI-fi and parking. No bedside tables and only one chair. I still think that a hairdryer and shaving mirror should be standard equipment. A bath mat and non-slip shower mat would be good. The bedroom window was frosted glass so no view, but this is probably a planning issue. But, I was very happy with my one night here, I would happily stay here again.

The staff are rude and an absolute shambles. The Parking is a mess, I was charged £3 for parking and there was no parking space available. I had to park half a mile away and walk back at 11pm. No Air-con
