“Great Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2011

After easily parking in the overspill car park we were given a friendly and informative welcome by the reception staff. The hotel reception looked smart and modern.
Our room was large, clean with a lovely side of hotel sea view - we were very pleased. The beds were comfi too and the bathroom was clean. No smokey atmosphere or dust which we are more aware of with a child with eczema and asthma. We were on the second floor and the lobby was big and spacious. We had breakfast which was good but the coffee and the coissants were often missing off the buffet. The cooked part of the breakfast was served to you. Children eat free with a paying adult. The bar area was nice too with some comfi sofas to sit on with a vague sea view. Again, modern and served bar meals. We were disappointed that even though it was officially a 'working day' being in between christmas and new year the cheaper two course special on the bar food wasn't being allowed as they were classing it as a bank holiday.
The hotel was really handy for the shops and beach front and the theatre which we went to.

We would definitely think about going back again as we were very pleased and enjoyed our stay - especially if you can get a night on the £29 bargains.

I can't praise this hotel enough. The rooms were exceptionally clean and very spacious. I requested a seaview room and was lucky enough to get one. The views over Torbay were fantastic.

The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and would certainly stay here again if I was visiting Torquay.

This was our first weekend away with our 11 week old baby and couldn't have been better.
The location is perfect - just half a mile walk along the seafront into Torquay. We have stayed in many Premier inns over the years and this one really topped the bill. The staff were all very friendly and obliging. The rooms (1 double and an adjoining family room with a cot) were extremely spacious and pristine. The fittings all seemed very new and the beds were very comfortable with lovely duvets, pillows and bedding.
The Beefeater restaurant was equally accomodating and always found us a suitable table with room for the pram!
We will definately stay here again.

My second visit, first on business, second for pleasure. Professionally run hotel; rooms are soacious and clean - though fairly basic. Food was excellent, but a little pricey and very much along the steak-house lines. Location is first class.

Spent a night at the Premier inn Torquay during a UK trip. I was really impressed with this little hotel, from the reception staff through to the cleanliness of the room, it was a bargain. Room was very adequate for our needs and beds clean and comfortable. Bathroom are fairly basic, but were clean and roomy so quite acceptable.

The big bonus for us was the lovely evening meal and breakfast that we had at the adjoining Beefeaters restaurant. Exceptional nice food, and, even though all the staff were very young, their service was a credit to the establishment. They did a wonderful job in a restaurant that was fully booked the night we went. I am happy to recommend this hotel and restaurant to families especially.

Stayed here over Bank Holiday weekend and had a wonderful time. The hotel is on the seafront with views over Torbay towards Brixham. We had the meal deal (breakfast and evening meal) The breakfast was excellent with an "as much as you can eat" theme. Evening meal was a menu consisting of a choice of starters and main course and although it does not include a sweet, it was very good. The only drawback was the air conditioning in the restaurant was sometimes set a little too cool.
I have some reservations about the car park. Although it is large, it is payable as a public car park but Premier Inn guests are given a display pass. This could pose a problem because being near to the beach it was a popular car park, so even though you are a guest you are not necessarily guaranteed a space.
We will definitely stay here again.
