“Great hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013 via mobile

From the get go we had helpful reception staff who moved us to ground floor accommodation and booked taxis. We had tasty breakfast and clean facilities, lovely room with comfortable bed, excellent view and free parking. Good wifi and lovely bar. Had a great weekend.

Stayed here for one night with family, right next to Abbey and gardens and a short walk to the big wheel and restaurants and shops etc.
We found this hotel to be good value with parking on site.

Excellent Hotel with very friendly staff. Idea for a short or long stay as it is very close to the beach and the town.
Restaurant is a beefeater and has a lovely choice of meals.
Breakfast was just amazing and filled us it for the day ahead.

We were greeted with a very warm welcome by the reception staff, Ann was in particular very helpful and informative, giving us tips on where to park so that it was closer to our room location. We didn't struggle with parking - although the car park was full there did seem to be plenty of spaces, much more than we were led to believe from previous reviews on here.
Over the road from the sea and 10 mins walk to the theatre, which was the main reason for our trip this time.
Our room (621) was very quiet, spacious and had a sea view which was a lovely treat. I just wish fellow guests would remember that not everyone wakes at the same time - so if you are leaving your room early morning (7ish!) please close the door quietly instead of letting it slam behind you, just a little consideration for other guests would go a long way. Couldn't fault the staff, very polite and friendly and the Beefeater Bar and separate restaurant is integral - very handy when its raining, you don't need to get cold and wet going to breakfast! we have stayed in many Premier Inns and have always had a good experience - but this goes right to the top of the charts!

Room Tip: Ask for sea view, in the newer building

Just returned from two nights in Torquay. This hotel is very conveniently located literally 5 mins walk from Torquay, with lovely views over Tor Bay. Staff were very friendly, I rang earlier in the day as I had booked two separate bookings for each night and they arranged a room move so we didn't have to move rooms. Ladies on check-in were helpful throughout the stay. Room itself (105) was quite small but typical Premier Inn, comfy bed, fantastic shower. Can't fault the hotel in this regard. I'd agree with other reviews re parking. We arrived at 6pm and got lucky - someone was literally just pulling out of what appeared to be the last space, as car park caters for both the hotel and the integrated restaurant. Otherwise I think we would have really struggled. Overall had a great time, and we'd certainly stay here again.
